Yes it's a rare piece I just purchased from a dealer in London a few days ago. 15100 Royal Oak Audemars Piguet Fondation Time for the trees. I just love how there's the Royal Oak tree embedded in the dial. Limited to 450 pieces, released in 1999.

Which Audemars Piguet are you wearing today?

Is that 15202 with a special dial? Looks nice with a tree on the dial.

Its the 15100 AP RO Foundation with a sapphire case back. Here's another shot that shows a different shade of blue with a more detailed outline of the Royal Oak Tree.

I think the 18k gold alloy is softer than the SS. But since it's lighter, smaller and more expensive, I'd say the "magnetic force" is weaker on this one.

Gold is significantly "softer" than stainless steel but it is approx. 2.3 times the density. So, you can expect the watch case of a gold ROC or ROO to weigh approx. 2.3 times the same model in steel.
