Based on all the reading from all the different forum. There's probably a 5-year list for a CO. I can't even imagine list for a black label CO being less than 8 to 10 years.

It was a 959.
If he's parking at 959 under a tree covered in bird poop. Can't even imagine what is in his garage

I think his neighbor was either Bill Gates or Paul Allen.

There are not that many 959 in the US.

I just noticed that the watch cloth is in Japanese. Is it because your watch was from the Tokyo Boutique?

Not sure how many of the 450 made it into US. I have spent a lot of time at Monterey car week over the year. I don't think I seen more than a few.

I'm sure Jerry Seinfeld has one in his collection. Bruce Canepa has one for sale right now.

Don’t you also have a CTS or CMS in Titanium as well? I love the linesport series as you do too!

Yes I have the CMS. I’d like the CTS but haven’t put in the effort to earn an allocation apparently lol

A very well written article on the CO. I was always puzzled by the self start natural escapement until I read this. It makes me wanting this reference even more.

Read through the thread, but couldn't find an answer. Sorry if this has been asked/answered!

I used to have an old, smaller (36mm) Octa Divine that I regret selling. Unfortunately it seems to have been discontinued. I was wondering if the Octa Divine 40mm is especially in demand. Im also fine with the Automatique Lune or a CS, but I really love the divine.

I also saw that Boutique editions are basically up to the boutique; I'd love a BE Divine/Automatique Lune/CS. Would it be okay to bring it up in my first meeting with an SA that Id be interested in any of these? Are there strict rules on selling watches on? If I get a BE Divine, I probably wouldnt want to keep my regular Divine/Lune/CS, for example. I'm not quite a one-and-done kind of guy, but I am pretty close so I dont think I'll ever keep more than 2 FPs (one for my father, one for me in rotation with my only other watch).

Thanks!

Boutique edition is much easier to get allocation than a black label but still harder than a regular edition. Since it is allocated to the boutique and up to the boutique to allocate to a collector. The boutique may be hesitant to allocate you the same reference in boutique edition if you already own the regular one though. Best is to discuss with your SA.

Congratulations!

Is this a late 2023 delivery or 2024 allocation?

It's going to be counted as a 2024 allocation. I wish it would count as a 2023.

My sales associate was very kind.

Early allocation. That’s sweet.

I also have a yellow dial CMS on my wishlist.

Big day today.

I finally got the call that FPJ has approved my movement and allocation for a 42mm boutique collection mother of pearl Lune. Should be delivered around March. Very grateful to be given this as my first piece from this incredible watchmaker. I'm suuuuuper excited.

Thanks guys.

I think a baby blue suede strap with white stitching will work well with it.

I’ve been contemplating what to do with the second strap. I was thinking maybe a really light tan color, almost cream, but I’m not sure how that’s going to look. I’m probably going to lean on the boutique’s advice on what to do.

Huge congrats! That's such an awesome dial. I like to wear my FPJ more on the casual side and would have loved to have this dial paired up with this ACM strap - https://www.acollectedman.com/products/tallinn-20x19.

Question if you don't mind. Did you pick the 42mm size or did the boutique allocate that size?

Thank you.

That strap looks amazing against a grey dial.

I insisted on a 42mm from the first time I went to the boutique and tried both sizes. In fact a few months back they offered me a 40mm boutique edition automatic lune in rose gold with a black dial and I passed on it. All my watch friends thought I was crazy, and I worried that they might never offer me anything again … but as lovely as that timepiece was it wasn’t what I wanted and prayed that they wouldn’t hold it against me. I am really blessed but these are big and forever purchases for me, and I wasn’t going to commit to a timepiece that I didn’t connect with.

Aside from my horological admiration and aesthetic attraction, this is one of so many things I love about the brand and its culture that they want you to have what moves you and actually appreciate and respect someone who won’t take any timepiece just because they were offered it.
