My first nice watch was a Tag TT Link Automatic Chronograph that I had for almost 3 years. Gave it to my step dad about 3 months ago when I bought my new No Date SS Sub. These are the only 2 nice watches I have ever owned. Having the sub now, I probably won't ever buy another watch. I am with watches like I am with women. I am a one watch/woman man.

Started with a Timex at age 6
Wore non-descript usually company branded watches - anyone remember Drakkar cologne? They had a matching watch. Waltham pocketwatch, Swatch, Kenneth Cole pocketwatch Mondaine wristwatch &'pocketwatch, Alpha, Ollech & Wajs Mirage III Then... Rolex SD and now PAM112 are my main two. An Ebel chrono ... and then a quartz Chopard Mille Miglia :-)
Still love them both both but the one month old Bond Sub has not left my wrist! :-) |

My first Rolex opened the door to a new world for me.
I have always wore quartz movements, and my watch prior to my first Rolex was my Gucci 101M Round "Day-Date"

Started with a Tag SeL, then a Tag 4000. a Tag Link, Omega Constellation, Omega Constellation "Double Eagle", several Seikos, Swiss Army, Citizen Eco-Drives, and Esq. (all sold). Two that I have kept and wear in rotation are two Concord Saratogas. What pushed all of the above out were getting my two Rolexes- GMT IIC and Sub Date.
Still have: |

A whole bunch mainly mickey mouse watches, casios, Oris but I know it will eventually be a Rolex on my wrist. I remember seeing Rolex ads on newspapers n asking myself 'What kind of a man do I have to be to be able to wear one of those'.

Wonderful collection I wish I don't have to go through as much watch to finally settle down on my grails. Btw I notice that the SS on your ROlex got different tone which is exactly what mine is as well. I posted a thread on it few months ago. I guess you're able to capture it on camera and I couldn't.

Casio,Swatch,Citizen eco drive(4yrs still wearing for work & in a prety sorry state, can't use the crown because it comes off & I can't adjust anything. Tissot, Longgine cosmograph traded that in for the Omega Seamaster Sword hands, Rolex Sub-Date. Very happy to own the Seamaster and extremely happy & proud to own the Sub. Hopefully I can own more CROWNS.

I was a TAG Heuer guy as well - I think they are great watches for teens to mid 20's. Of course now that I'm in my late 20's I thought I needed to step-up so to speak :)

My first expensive watch was an Omega Seamaster in SS and 18K. I regret getting rid of it. :(
