Mine does not come off my wrist. I shower with it on & make sure that I rinse the soap off, that's all.

Hey, some weeks I sleep, shower, and eat Rolex... but I don't sleep, shower or eat my Rolex.

Dive, run, shower, sail, fly...I don't sleep with it because it might seriously harm my wife. I don't wear it when I work on machinery or my old cars, and never when cycling, for fear of scratching or breaking it!

I wear mine doing absolutely everything, everywhere the world over. I've broke/lost a few over the years but they make new ones every day. (Well, I guess not my chosen watches but you can always find another).

Wear it in the shower and swimming pool.
Used to wear it in bed but woke myself up in the middle of the night when I banged the watch against the wall (luckily no harm done) and haven't worn it in bed since. Wouldn't wear it jogging or cycling, gardening, decorating, etc. |

If i had one, then it would come off sometimes for showers, and sleeping. I'd go swimming, work on cars, work outside, axe wood cutting, driving, guitar time, play time with the niece it stays on. Sleeping and shower, those are the only times it might come off.

I take it off when I go to bed and put it back on when I'm heading out for work again in the morning. I don't shower with it on. Not afraid of doing it with it on, but it just feels better without it...

Shower/swim? Absolutely. though I prefer to keep chlorine and, especially, bromine (many hot tubs) off of gold items i wear every Rolex watch in and around all types of water. I swim at least 3-4X/wk and am generally around or in water a lot. Swimming and showering with the watch on helps avoid pivot point wear due to an accumulation of grit. Not wearing the watch too loose and regular (and thorough) flushing keeps the bracelet's pivot points from wearing loose - IMO. Jog? I was never big on jogging even before my last brush with fatality (motor cycle accident) but wouldn't hesitate to wear a Rolex jogging for the watch's sake, but suspect it may be uncomfortable. Kinda like gold, where it probably won't hurt the watch, but a lighter watch like an Iron Man or G-Shock or something of the sort would be more comfortable. If I am doing something that is all but guaranteed to do damage, working on cars, planes, machinery, etc. - I have a beater G-Shock for that. For hunting and other activities i prefer a Triple Sensor or Suunto, not because the Rolex can't take the use - it certainly can, but because I utilize the functionality of the other pieces which the Rolex can't readily match. Working out it an interesting activity for watches. Again, a lighter G-Shock type watch would likely be more comfortable but my biggest concern is the weights smashing a crystal of deeply dinging a bezel. For whatever it's worth, free weights and returning gold clubs to a gold bag seem to put more dings in Rolex watches than almost any other activity. Lastly, it warmed my heart to see the Seiko Black Monster in this thread as it is one of my all time favorites int he bang for the buck department. Though one can certainly dive with a Rolex, I like a Black Monster or rubber strap dive watch of less expensive pedigree for the bumping and banging they sometimes take on the boat and around the dive gear. In closing, unless I am wearing a Triple Sensor (or Suunto) for a mission specific activities utilizing their functionality; or doing something that all but assures damage, where the G-Shock beater or Black Monster earn their keeps; or diving where I do prefer a less expensive alternative ... I always wear a Rolex. These are my personal preferences for reasons including those specified herein. truth be told, a Rolex, just about any Rolex (certainly the SS models) can, and do, handle everything I do with a watch - and more, the world over for decades and decades. FN: I am not a fan of doing banging and dinging activities with an all gold model given the relative softness of the 18K gold compared to stainless steel. YMMV - Stay calm and keep the Rolex on!

I often neglect to take off my sub C before bed. I have to say it seems to be very loud at night if my wrist ends up by my head. It seems to have a continuous metallic hum in addition to normal ticking.

I do EVERYTHING with my Rolex on. Mostly because I simply forget that I'm wearing it! Shower, workout, sleep & sex (wife doesn't care so neither do I), work... you name it.

No. I have a beater watch for such activities. I like to keep mine well kept and shiny, so it all depends on what you like in your watch

Sleep- Sometimes.
Shower - Is it safe to take a Sub in the shower? Yes, helps keep it clean. Jogging/working out - No, I find it uncomfortable. If I was staying in a hotel, using the hotel's fitness center, I'd probably wear it then, rather than leave it in my room unattended. Swim - Yes, it's a Sub, I think it can handle a dip in the pool. |

I shower and swim with my Explorer II on but have never slept with it in. I keep it on my night stand and the lume and my newly acquired hand glow bright enough I can check what time it is if I want without wearing it to bed.

A friend of mine calls me Mr. Rogers because when I get home I put on my "house watch" (a garmin athletic watch) and take off my rolex. I was wearing my Rolex to the beach but I noticed I could hear sand under the bezel when I would turn it so needless to say that can't be good so I'm not wearing it to the beach anymore

Daily wear throughout the day... paint will simply come off the crystal with fingernail scrape..same if it you get paint drops on ss case or bracelet..
That said..after seeing this happen the first time..i tend to cover my watch when painting or remove it |

Yes to sleep. No to shower, swim, jog. Don't like soap scum. Tried running with it and it was too heavy. Assume swimming would be the same.

Pretty much all the time except when in the gym or running. I occasionally take it off when sleeping if I remember.
