YM II
DSSD
DJ II
DD II

All a step in the right direction.

New EXPL II also, although I am not the biggest Expl fan.

The current Subs,GMTs and Daytonas are too small for my taste.

I tried to like large watches. Really tried. And at great expense. They are all gone now.

I think 40-42 is the perfect size. I don't see Rolex going any bigger in future as it has to consider the Chinese Market.

I like the size, weight and balance of my Sub-c SS watches. I have a TT Sub-c that feels slightly heavy by comparison, but my Subs are all better sized than the heavy 43MM Tag Aquaracer 500M I had been wearing as my daily watch.

I think many other watches are far too large and ridiculous.

I have 2 34mm daily wearers and they suit me just fine. For special occasions I'd consider a bigger watch. 40mm is the maximum though.

I think 40 mm is perfect for a man's watch. I don't hold with the trend for larger and larger watches. Some of them look plain silly unless you happen to have an arm like the Incredible Hulk. Rolex are following fashion and going that way and I think it;s a great shame.

I think a watch should be proportional to your wrist. In my case, 40mm watches seem to work. I tried on a Speedy Pro and Calibre de Cartier and found them both a little too big for me.

36mm watches are great, my DJ sits on my wrist like a king.

I prefer 42mm watches. 40mm is fine, not ideal, but fine.

Panerai do not seem to wear large particularly in titanium at 44mm. In polished steel they look like a big hunk of metal.

I think Rolex made the perfect size watch when they upgraded the Sub and GMT Cs. I had a Panerai and I felt it was too big. Now the guy who bought it from me was 6-4 and about 275 so it worked for him! Some people just like the presence of an oversized watch like a Panerai but I like my piece to accentuate not dominate. Hold out for the new Expy. It will be 42 mm.

I agree. I have clients who would be impressed by big and blingiy. Then again, a different class of clients would actually be turned off by that. With that said,k I like to wear a watch for me, for what I feel. The understated statement that Rolex makes is substantial. It's a conservative confidence.

I also agree with the "situational" aspect of large watches. Rolex watches, even sports/professional models are just at home with an alligator shirt, a tee-shirt, no shirt or tucked under a cuff linked cuff. I have large watches that are , as so aptly put, situational. Rolex is more og an "everything" watch.

For me the 42mm is about as big as like. I see Rolex taking the next Daytona to 41 or
42mm.
This should be perfect!

for my 7 1/4 inch wrist, the tag 500m is perfect! The new Rolex maxi-cases are also perfect.

+1 41-42 mm for me, which Rolex is emulating with its maxi-case

It's hard to say what the new standard will end up, but it seems clear that it is considerably larger than 36mm. I am curious to see where Rolex goes over the next several years. To my eye the Datejust II wears much larger than most 41mm watches. I would be surprised if that becomes the new standard as it just looks too big on most wrists (to me). At some point doesn't Rolex have to get the right size, whatever that may be, on it flagship line of watches (Datejust)??

MMM not really. I think that perhaps watches are getting too big these days if anything. I love the Panerai, but they are just too big for me. I think as long as manufactures continue to produce both small, meduim and larger models is the best option, which I think Rolex currently does.

after owning a DSSD and a breitling superocean abyss 44 I would never go back to a smaller size watch.. A DJ or DD is just way to small now...It doesnt feel right on my wrist...I also agree that some of the huge invicta, pam are too big...for me 42-44 seems perfect

Just look at all those flowered dial 36mm rolex datejusts.... It's obvious to me that rolex is viewing that as a woman's size watch..... Maybe unisex at best....
