well theres nothing you can. these watches are so inflated in price that not everyone can afford even a lower end rolex but like the look and feel of one. the real question is how many times have you met someone wearing one of those swiss made replicas that even AD cant tell apart until they open them up and check the movement. you never know no offense to anyone on the board but some peoples photos may be of really good fakes that not even people on this board (rolex enthusiasts) can spot.

The bodies may be geuine, but a few ritzy sport cars either have a VW or chevy engine in them. The funniest thing is, they could be registered with DMV (Dept. of Motore Vehicles) as such - VWs or Chevys. Jag XJS were quite commonly found with chevy engines in them.

Sorry KemoSabe, I am from Washington State, not Washington, DC. Check your geography. I think it's "you're" instead of "your".

I went diving once with a guy that had a fake. I knew his was a fake and he knew mine was real. His wife said "Oh look, he has a watch like yours"...He sheepishly said ..."Uh, yeah, it's kind of close". I didn't want to be a dick in front of his wife and daughter so I went along with him. I figure no harm no foul. Life's too short for that.

Absolutely true. And I can tell you that I have a golfing accquaintance who could afford to buy a 737 if he wanted it. He wears everything from a Timex to a Yachtmaster to assorted Breitlings. I am sure he earns enough passive income each day to buy a six pack of Rolexes. I'm not impressed by his wealth or his watches but I happen to like the guy and we have a good time golfing, cracking jokes and bending a few elbows.
