Turds like that give Rolex owners at large a bad name, Barry. Screw him. Your 116610LV is one sweet piece---and, in many respects a cooler watch than than the 16610 this tool was slinging. Still be willling to bet this nincompoop got curious sometime after the "conversation" and spent some time online, at which point he learned something quickly about Rolex Submariner evolution (and maybe ate a little private crow in the process)...
Indeed, too bad there's no longer a good Fresno-area AD where a good bet in your favor couldn't have settled the matter decisively! |

I'd of said, "You have two choices here, now. One, you can listen to the tick and get off your high horse telling me to buy a real one when I already have, OR, two, you can continue being a douche. I think I already know what you'd do." THEN, I'd flash an ultra cheesy grin and walk away after tipping the counter for holding up the line.
I only give the first choice because maybe sometimes people just don't know about the new sexy LVc, and I don't want people to be ig-nunt bout that stuff if they don't have to be, but it sounds like this guy just HAS to be ig-nunt. |

Theres a lot of this 'in your face' stuff going around nowadays. Its best to just let it go and concentrate on more important thoughts and enjoyment of your life, no?

How did I miss this thread? LOL. Damn Barry, you ran into a real gem!!
I wouldve asked him if he's familiar with John Deere....cause he's gonna need one, along with a SUPER heavy duty tow strap to pull his head out of his ass. |

We are playing a game of using our eagle eyes to spot and "compliment" others with discriminating tastes in watches, expecting reciprocity (my schwantz is just as big as yours!). Faux outrage ensues when we are "ridiculed", even after we embark on a fruitless attempt to educate the offender..... Either you re-evaluate your behavior or you can take the advice of others here and take a swing at a Starbucks barista and see what happens...... ? |

Part of it is ignorance and part of it is that most people don't want the fact they're wearing a Rolex to be announced to one and all. I had this teenager at a restaurant do that to me once. If looks could kill.

Honestly try that witha guy wearing an IWC and I guarantee it wont happen.99% og Ropex owners are rich posers where I come from...I once had a similar experience when I commented on a blue dial 16613... |
