New user here, and have to say Wow! what a great resource. have learned more over the past few weeks of lurking than would have ever picked up talking to the folks at BB (i know i know). Have owned Omega watches for years but looking to pick up a SS Sub Date later this month.
You guys have been great in helping me make up my mind between GMT IIc as well as steering clear of BB (wise choice after spending time with their sales folks). Now just looking for a good AD in the Denver area or may take my chance with AF since many folks here have nice things to say about them thanks! |

Huh. I somehow missed this thread the first time around...
Name's Tony, I'm 28, and I'm from Buffalo, NY. My wife and I have two pugs, and are hoping to start a family this year or next. As far as Rolexes, I'm hoping that my first will be the SS Daytona... I've been nurturing relationships with two ADs in hopes that they'll help. If I don't get one in the first few months of 2008, though, I'll have to go out and buy myself the TT blue Sub. Eventually, I will have both... They will be mine... |

......... Picking up my new M16610 SS Sub Date with CRB this Sat from my AD in N.E. Indiana (huge savings over NY for sure 10% + no tax).... You've all been so very helpful !!! Salute to all and I will post pics when I get her on my wrist (and she passes JJ's loupe/alignment tests...) |

My next watches, well when I will be able to finance them, will be IWC Mark XVI on a croc strap and TT DJ 116233 champagne dial, stick markers, fluted bezel, jubillee brac.

Hi, All. Michael from Australia. I'm 48 years old. First time I've seen this post. I have been lurking in TRF for quite some time. I have picked up a lot of useful information. Now, I cannot get enough information on Rolex watches.
Don't shoot me, but I currently wear a Tag. I have ordered a SS GMTIIc through my AD, but I'll be waiting at least 9-10 months. That is going to kill me. The good part about it is that when I was in the AD the wife also loved the look of SS GMTIIc. I knew when she made that comment that the time was right for me to strike and place an order. The SS GMTIIc watches here from Australian AD's are very few and far between. There is a large waiting list here for that watch. I don't want to hijack this thread, but I should have the wife's new watch in next week from overseas. It has not officially been released here yet. She has fallen in love with a black Rado Ceramica Jubilee. I know that this is the right place to discuss Rado watches so please don't criticise me for that. I'll plead ignorance as a Newbie. I am literally marking off the pay periods for my SS GMTIIc. With the benefit of hindsight, what kills me is that I spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years flying. I have my private pilot's licence and all I have to show for it is a Pilot's Log Book. I now want something that I can look at everyday and admire its timeless beauty. That's why I have ordered the SS GMTIIc. Merry xmas to all and happy holidays. Michael |

37 yr. old with wife and 2 young kids. My first Rolex was a Thunderbird TOG bought in 2003, to replace the Seamaster Pro (even though I am still hanging on to the Seamaster). This year flipped the TOG for SS Sub Date. A few weeks later saw a SS GMT IIc and couldn't let it just sit there at an AD, so took it home.
Now looking to buy a Lady DJ WG for the wife. |

1976 GMT "hack" with Pepsi/ Pan Am bezel.
I'll be getting a GMT IIc in the coming weeks (went last saturday to buy but the store drained all the fun out of the experience and they had no SS's in stock). |

Hi to you all
My watch is a GMT II 116710LN My next watch if I dare to dream that far will defiantly be a Rolex; I have the bug now so nothing else will do. |

Hi everyone!
I'm kind of new here. Have had several different Rolexes since about 1980 to present. Here are a few photos: My collection of Rolex and Tudor though there have been a few changes: I traded the two jubilee bracelet datejusts for this just last night: close up It's harder than I thought to do a wrist shot: Another recent acquisition 31mm though it's in the group shot: |
