Tried on the platinum Daytona today for the first time, was blown away. Wished I could vote for it 10 more times, there is no comparison. Those still doubt the watch have no idea, need to slap it on the wrist and vote again.

The Patek has that unusual "Doctor's Watch" pulse counting scale on the chapter ring. If you are a health care professional that makes a lot of sense. If not, I find it weird to wear.

So, I'd go Platty Daytona unless you are a doctor and then it's Patek.

Flip the 5170 over on it's belly. Take a look at it's guts. Have your local watch guy take the back off the p daytona. Take a look. End of discussion. IMO of course

Out if those two watches the Daytona totally kills that Patek - it's not even close. Kens Daytona is ice cool that Patek is just not in same league heck it not even in the same game!
