So you spent this much on a watch and ONE WEEK is too long to wait to find out from Rolex if it's legit or not AFTER the fact? Wow, man...different upbringings.

There are tons of these floating around. The bracelet is an aftermarket 14k Italian made one, the case will be authentic, take the bracelet off and check the numbers through a loop, I am guessing you will see that the watch has been re-serialed with faint evidence of the previous number still visible.

Your only recourse would be to get the police involved to get your money back as it was not represented correctly and honestly. (The bracelet alone should do the trick).

Best of luck, sorry to see someone going through this!!

Why would you buy such an ugly watch in the first place?

Good summary, but you omitted the real interesting part that the pawn shop owner was his best friend.

If he asked you to sign a promise not to sue, I'd say he knew he was on shaky ground.

there is getting screwed, and there's dropping the soap on purpose in a prison shower full of lifers. You did this to yourself, man, I don't feel the least bad for you.

You're brown bread. You couldn't resell that watch tomorrow for half what you paid. Nothing is correct and it's a complete franken from hell.

In other words see Moscos post above.

You should have file police reports and a small claims case immediately.

Lesson learned. Don't repeat.

Man that's a ugly watch. I'm not sure I believe your story yet, but if you're legit, sorry! If you're trying a new way to figure out how bad your fake watch looks so you can sell it, it's real bad. I'd love to see the other group of " nice" watches you own... The diamonds are all different sizes, the dial is uneven, there are missing diamonds and I'm not so sure the movt is even a rolex! Why would a person who claims to owns nice watches already buy literally the worst looking fake watch I have ever seen?

Well this is an interesting read. Hell I even pushed aside the popcorn and made edamame instead. Light sea salt does the trick.

Why thank you Grady!

I say leave the guy alone he likes the watch and never asked anyone if they liked the look of it, he likes it so when did we all start bashing someone else's taste that we don't agree with

I say live and let live my friends

Cause everybody doesn't love everything.....

I don't get it. OP accidentally buys a fraken Rolex, calls the pawn shop guy a scumbag, denounces him for fraud, and OP makes the forum feel sorry for him - then OP tries to resell the watch to another sorry ass using the same shop?
