Here are mine, L to R
Bell-Matic was my Dads a gift from my brother brought home from "The Nam" in 69
A Speed timer just like my brother wore flying "Shit Hooks" 68-69 (a later but correct model, I stupidly sold his,a big regret on my part !
Diver my then college girl friend now my wife of 35 years this month bought for me in 1979.Still have original band.
And my first watch bought in 1976 as a junior in H.S. with my own hard earned $$
Just wish I could get the chrono working again, runs pefectly on a winder but stops when worn.

Big Al 72, it is a SDGM 003, aka Brightz. It is a Japanese domestic market only watch. There are a few on line merchants who will sell it to US residents. PM me if you need further info.

It was JDM when first released, but is now available in the (NY & Miami) Boutiques, which also includes Timeless Luxury and (soon to be) Toppers Jewelers.

Thanks for the clarification. I've received very nice treatment from the crew at the Miami Seiko Boutique. If you have not been there and you can go, do so. There are also quite a few other watch boutiques within a short walk.

I bought three Tudors since last Fall. I'm sure I can manage a new Seiko in the next 12 months or so.

Great watch! I've got the blue model.

Just putting in my 2 cents worth. I've been cursed with a champagne taste in watches, but a beer budget most of my life. That said, I've had Tudors, Rolexes, and for most of the last 10 years I wore a Steinhart Ocean 1 (don't hate, it was the best I could afford).
This Christmas my Son, knowing my Love of watches, gifted me a "New Turtle" SRP775. It's the only watch I've worn since. Great looking Classic 6309 style case, more durable than I am, and keeping Chronometer Grade accuracy. Also none of the reported Chapter Ring alignment issues.
Bracelet is solid (including end links) & comfortable, and drilled lugs make changing to a leather or rubber strap quick and easy.
It wears smaller and more comfortable than the measurements (44.3mm) would lead You to believe because the sides of the case are undercut and taper to a much smaller case back where it rests on the wrist.
Very happy with my Daily Driver.

It's really hard to beat Seiko when it comes to value for money proposition, but that's definitely not the whole appeal of Japanese brand.

While recently in Paris, I tried number or higher-end pieces, from Grand Seiko to the absolutely amazing limited edition Brigtz automatic chronograph in Titanium, model SDGZ013. I must confess that I was left in awe with overall quality of those pieces, and IMHO that (column wheel/vertical clutch) chronograph can give run for the money to any similarly priced Swiss Made movement.

Oh, and I tried new Astron chronograph, and although I'm not a huge fan of its design, still I found its built quality pretty amazing.

So...just keep'em coming, guys!

It's from about 5 years ago, SBGE021. An LE of 150. I do not believe it was an anniversary edition.
