Rolex Remorse...
Couple of simple questions to liven up a dull Friday:
1. Which Rolex do you most regret buying? 2. Which Rolex do you most regret selling? I most regret buying a Sub 116613LB which I traded for a loss (only lost the VAT, but it was still a 20% loss) two months after purchasing it new from my AD; it is one of the most stunning watches I’ve ever seen but it just didn’t suit me and deep down I knew it. I learnt a valuable lesson that buying a watch is about buying one that suits you, not just one that you like. I most regret selling the GMT 116710LN which was the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn, even more so than the Daytona which is extremely comfortable. The GMT function was also very useful. I sold it because it wasn’t getting any wrist time after I’d bought the Sea Dweller, but I didn’t really need to sell it and it would get wrist time now that the SD honeymoon period has worn off (still love it, but I have room for others now).
