Agreed.

Rock the look or move on.

IMO, the watch looks fine on the OP but I probably would draw the line at that size.
Great for casual wear

It looks a little big, but if you like it, enjoy it and don't give it a second thought.

Looks too big to me, but pictures can be deceiving. I never want lugs to hang over the top or bottom of my wrist.

Yes, way too big. If that watch were 40mm, I'd be wearing one right now.

Of course it's too big for your wrist.
The correct question now is, does it fit your personality?
If so, excellent. If not, time to think again

head on pictures are not the best to judge, in my opinion.

i strongly believe the answer to this depends on personal style. watches that appear too big from a simple straight on wrist shot may work well with personal style that makes it all fit together, despite what some skeptics may think.

I like it, but realize it's your wrist and your perceptions that matter. You bought a modern large diver. It's smaller than most other manufacture's divers (ie...Seamaster 43.5 and others). It's a great casual watch. If you think it's too big after a couple of weeks, sell it for what you have into it and buy a Sub C.

It depends on the rest of your body. If you are 6'2" 250, then the you are good to go.

Wear it on your right wrist if you're a righty.

Yes, but it's a big watch. As long as your happy with it, that's all that matters.

If you like it, its ok.
But since you are asking for opinion, its a tad too large for your wrist.

It looks like a Submariner will fit you better.

I suspect in real life the lugs do fall within your wrist edges as they almost do in the pic. I think you can work it.

looks great.

and well done for proving everyone wrong definitively saying it was too big based only on a straight on wrist shot.... that straight on angle never tells the whole story

Looks good

I posted a thread a while back about how deceiving close up wrist shots can be with a 42mm Seiko (and one poster even suggested it was the same watch on different people )

Same watch, same arm.

For some reason this shot shows the watch much more balanced on your wrist. Looks great!

It still looks too big, but so long as you are happy, that's all that matters. Clenching fist doesn't make your wrist any larger, btw.

OTOH, why were you asking if you think it's OK?

Much better, it works fine on you. Close-up wrist shots are always a bad idea as they make watches look bigger than they really are.

Just don't walk around like that with your chest puffed up and your arms tensed

The only relevant questions to ask yourself are:
Do you love the watch?
Is it comfortable on the wrist?
Because absolutely guaranteed, 999 out of every thousand people you meet will neither notice nor comment on your watch, and the one bloke that does will be a WIS who will probably geek out at seeing an SD43 in the wild and won't give a monkeys how it looks on you.

PS it clearly looks absolutely fine on you
