Listen...I'm not "wrong". I know what I see. I don't hang out in LA or on social media. Enjoy your gold watches and soften that edge a bit. Thanks

Yellow gold desirability definitely seems to be reducing with younger crowd and in the corporate world. I haven't seen a YG watch in the executive level corporate setting for a while (definitely not YG on YG bracelet). Still seems to be popular with certain celebrity type crowds (reality TV, sports & music)

My dealer said the younger crowd seems to buy SS primarily (even high dollar pieces) and if they buy gold, it's more and more RG.

Trends change and change back over time. Wear what you like.

I personally prefer rose and white over yellow, but I'm younger than you and have no issues with a gold Rolex.

If you want yellow, get yellow

I guess I’ll be the one to say what the younger crowd REALLY thinks about gold. I apologize in advance if it is politically incorrect. This is just what I have heard from, well, darn near everyone around these parts.

I’m 30yo in the KC area. Since the age of 16 when I bought my high school class ring, I was told yellow gold is for people with olive-dark skin tones. White gold is for Caucasian skin tones. The exception to this is the 40+ crowd that did not grow up under these standards.

Right or wrong, I think a casual glance at the engagement ring case at any mid-tier jeweler will show you the almost non-existent yellow gold options.

OP, I say if you like it get it, don't worry about style or age.
I'm over 40 and I don't like yellow gold, so I will never wear or buy one
