get the daytona and put in on a rubber strap for the sporty look, then get the skydweller for a more formal look

Forget the Hype and buy the watch you’ll enjoy. If I were in your shoes, I would go Daytona.

I really liked the Daytona until I tried one on, it just felt too small for me. ANd I did not like the Sky D until I tried one on...the new stick dial, black face, RG on leather. I fell in love with it on the spot.

Go figure...

I’ve owned both. At the store/online/in photos, I like prefer the Sky Dweller. The discontinued black dial WG Sky Dweller is in my opinion one of the best looking Rolex watches...

My wrist is ~7-1/4” (closer to 7-1/2” in the summer) and the Sky Dweller was just to big for me. It looked out of place. I would hang it on things and never got use to the added thickness.

I wear my Daytona the most of any of my watches (DJ41, Daytona, GMT)...

This should be a Poll post. Hard to say which one is more preferred.

I’d go with Daytona too. It’s not even close.

Also, I can’t believe how much bigger the SkyD looks compared to the Daytona.

Seems like either the Daytona is small for a 40, the SkyD is big for a 42, or all the above.

Sky-D - the king of Rolex complications. The annual calendar is awesome. Do you plan on timing things?

Daytona for me. If the Skydweller came in 39-40 mm, I’d have a hard time deciding.

I had both kept the white Daytona and sold the blue Sky-Dweller.

Cannot go wrong with either one.

If I were to choose though it'd be the Daytona.

Got curios and checked the size of SkyD movement, 33mm and Daytona is 30.5mm which means we can probably forget a smaller SkyD coming soon

I am in the exact same situation. I love both watches and can’t decide. Ultimately, I will probably take whichever comes first and get the other later. The only positive of shortage is having time to save funds!
