And that dial is pretty damn gorgeous imo.

Ok. Now that I have 10 posts, I can finally post pictures :-)

Here's a pic of my DJ 36, just to give you an idea of the size. I have 8.25" wrists and am 6'2", 260lbs.

1) I believe you should wear what you feel most comfortable with.
2) Sometimes, I also wondered if the 36mm is big enough for me.
3) I came to terms with loving the 36mm...

Personally I think that 36mm looks too small for you. Your wrists arent exactly tiny.

I appreciate your input. If I ever come around to see it your way, I suppose I can always trade it up to a bigger model :-)

It does feel very comfortable though and I'm not a great fan of big watches. I like the unassuming classic size; just my opinion.

They’re both so amazing! But, to me, the 36 is the clear winner for you.

Enjoy!

The 36 looks dainty on wrists over 6.5”.

IMO

I like the way my DD40 and 1803 fits on my 6.375" wrist.....but the 1803 definitely wears nicer proportion wise. Same for your wrist from the pics.

Your DD looks too big and please post a pic of you wearing the 44!

And a pic of some of the women you surround yourself with if they look good in a 40mm watch?!

36 is nice, but the 40 is the Man, Mans watch...

and yes I'm saving my pennies for one

Unless a person has a remarkably strange shaped wrist there is no way a 5.5” wrist can pull off a 44mm AP ROO. No chance. I have a 6.5” wrist and owned a 44mm AP ROO and it looked ridiculous on me. So did the Deep Sea 44mm.

Looks like you can pull off the 40, and btw, the configuration of the 40 you tried is the BOMB, so nice

Life begins at 40. So 40mm Day Date is no doubt the watch to pick up.

Totally agree here. I have a DJ 36. I tried on the 40 and it feels natural. My wrist is 7 inch and I’m 5’9. Doesn’t look big at all. But it could be bc I’ve been wearing my PAM 233 a lot this summer.

The DD40 wears slightly smaller than a 40mm ceramic sub.

Love both.
Technicaly the bracelet from the 40mm is better because of a ceramic part inside the links.
I did not choose the 40mm because imho it is slightly less iconic.
Bought yesterday mine.

Gravity with 5.5 wrists even a 26mm datejust would be far to big.

I think DD40 is perfect size for the modern era, 36 is a bit small in my opinion and DD II on the other hand, was too big and Rolex obviously realized it and replaced it with DD40.

imho i think there isn’t a “perfect” size. for the normal ppl with a average wrist, get the 36 if you want a dressier look epsicially with the president bracelet, the smaller the watch the more you see the president bracelet ie more dressy like a piece of jewellery.. the 40mm looks more sporty. however.. if you are someone like michael jordan with all 8 inches plus size wrist, the 41mm looks just nice. so.. no prefect size. all depends on your wrist size and what you after.
