I just tried some fancy Swiss whole milk...wow! No wonder I don't drink milk, Canadian dairy tastes like garbage water compared to other stuff out there.

Grazers taste the best. The large dairy farmers augment feed with a lot of grain and supplements (it's hard to have grass for very large herds). Smaller operations rely heavily on grazing (grass fed), which improves the quality of the milk.

If you can avoid homogenized milk, do so. The homogenization process basically chops up the fat into smaller bits that emulsify better. There are some studies that show that the unprocessed milk fat is better for you. I know the milk tastes better.

I believe humans are the only species on earth who drink milk long after breast feeding. Ahem... milk is pretty gross. No offense.

Although I love ice cream, heavy cream for cooking, and a dozen of other things with milk in them.

Almond milk for my coffee. Almond milk also makes my mornings far more predictable.
