I got to try it on at an AD in Singapore in February... If they would have let me, I'd have bought it.
Oddly, I think it looks more green in person than in photos. Hopefully they don't discontinue it before I can get a new one from an AD. |

I’m seeing more Hulks than the LN series. Even my ADs told me they don’t see LN anymore. Take a look at the forum, many received Hulks from ADs, and some Skydwellers. What’s going on with Rolex?

Maybe Rolex using all the green bezels they have in inventory before discontinuing the Hulk. I think there’s no way Rolex will discontinue the black sub, but the Hulk may be replaced with a new green design sub, or green discontinued, and a new color introduced. There has to be a minimum 2 SS sub model in production in my opinion.

True more Hulk incoming these day’s, but it’s still far more difficult to get from AD than the LN. No replacement for a Hulk in any collection. If you want a black diver you have several options from Rolex like SD43, Deep Sea, no date, JM, but if you want a special sub you have to get the Hulk over black sub in my opinion.

I had the opportunity to try it at the AD back in 2016. Hard pass.
The day they make a green Sub with a deeper non-sunburst green dial, a matching bezel and thinner lugs, I'm in. |

If you don’t love green, you won’t wear it.
Try an Explorer 2 in polar. |

I’m sure the OP has decided by now as the thread is a year old. LVCs don’t sit around at ADs that long, and besides his girlfriend was right

Seems there are many that want the watch simply b/c it is hard to get (whether it’s the Sub LV, or any of the others like GMT, Daytona, etc) without first understanding if this is a watch they really like or want. So there’s that.
But it looks awesome (to me), and regardless of niche or not I’d wear it. That’s how I think about it (to purchase or not). About your sub and SD4k - I can appreciate that you have multiple black dialed divers in one’s collection. I currently have four different Sea-Dwellers, that thankfully all look the same to my better half! |

Hulk is the only Rolex in my rotation. I don't care if million other people have it. Just love it on my wrist.

Can anyone that doesn't like it ask their AD for one then call me when it comes in?
With all this 'tons of stock' talk, I just want one and have been on a waitlist for a year. Now my AD is closed so even if they had one I'm waiting. As someone that has a couple APs, a Lange a TT Sub, Pam, exp 2, and a few others - that green is gorgeous and will be my daily the day it comes in. |

i'd rock the Hulk everyday.....If I had one. When I got latest my Rolex I had the choice at between the Hulk and a BLNR...... I went the BLNR route (love it) .But as soon as I have some more discretionary funds and one becomes available I will get one......

I didn't read not one response. But if anyone said 'too green', i would have to agree with them.

Hulk - amazingly unique or too niche?
Quote:
True.... but now it's a sunk cost bias issue - really if I'd just bought it a year ago for 14k, and spent an extra 3 hours a month working (the time I likely spend on TRF in a month) I would have made up the difference... Im sure I'll bite the bullet and go grey when it gets discontinued in April. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I think it’s awesome, looks good and unique compared to a black sub you see so often.

First saw the Hulk and loved it, the AD said they were getting scarce. I didn’t believe her and didn’t buy it. That became one of my biggest mistakes I have ever made. I love the Hulk but thought the green was too ostentatious. Ordered a black date Sub but secretly wanted a Hulk, I thought the black was more classic. 2 months later I got the call from my AD: Would I like a green Sub? Yes! That was 9 months ago and the only problem I have with the Hulk is it’s too distracting while I’m driving.
