Whew! I was getting worried this thread wouldn't be resurrected after three years.

no. my wrist always get bigger due to the muscle pump.
anyway, ceramic bezel is quite strong. i'd be more worried about your wrist/hand if somehow you got your ceramic bezel cracked on an exercise.

Funniest question. Like asking do you wear makeup or dress up to go workout at the gym? There are definitely those who will answer yes. LOL.

I see that it's an old thread but I'm brand new to the forum. I wear a watch everywhere...except the gym. As others have said, some wrist swelling, especially when weight lifting, is more distraction than I prefer.

HAHAHA...3 year old thread. Cool, I will play. NO watch while at the gym. There is a guy that does wear a two tone while working out. I must say the guy looks like the biggest idiot walking around with it on. So ya, no watch. Plus, just plain uncomfortable I would think.

For aerobic group fitness classes, I sometimes wear my SS Rolex especially if I've just come straight from work (my Rolex is far safer on my wrist than in a gym locker!) but any weight training, then, no, I don't want to risk banging my watch against any metal plates, plus my weight gloves have a metal zipper on them, don't want it to be running against my watch. For those situations, I wear my plastic digital $20 watch ...

Naw....I time my set between lifting weights with clocks on the wall or a cheap, dependable Casio when no clocks are present. I'd never chance it....I lift pretty hard...same with cardio.

I wear any of my 4 to the gym. I lift decently heavy and sometimes I run on the treadmill. Never had an issue.

Only if I forget to lock it in my office before hitting the gym. Will not keep my new sub in a gym locker.

I used to for years, but since I just purchased an Explorer II and had my GMT refinished at the DSC, I have been leaving them at home.

I don't mind to wear my rolex at the gym but I am a little worried about stretching the band.. If I happen to be wearing it already I don't want to leave it in my car or locker..

I've never worn my Casio training watch to a suit and tie affair as there was no need. That's kind of my thought when it comes to wearing my Rolex to dig a mine shaft or mow the lawn. So, no, I don't (didn't) wear it to the gym.

I wear my Sub-C to the gym almost daily. Then again, I don't make new threads questioning whether it's alright to wear a dive watch to the beach either... I buy my watches to wear and enjoy them - I'm just careful not to bang my wrist into the weights. Haven't had any issues in years of working out with my watches.

Interesting thread revival....

I would not ever wear my YG DDII lifting the man weights or running, but that's just me
