I have to agree...I’ve been in and out of many watches over the years not for profit just to try different ones...sick of Rolex and their BS for now and frankly find many of the people on the Rolex forums not so friendly...or just tired of the same old nonsense...currently have 2 1971seiko 6139 chronos and a 90s speedmaster and thinking of my next watch...tried the 662 on this weekend and WOW!

I still think there is a loyal fan base for Panerai, those that love their watches and don't care about the shifts in the market.

Yep and the ironic thing is they sell more watches now than they ever have. The "base" that made alot of noise on the internet where nothing but flippers looking to make a buck and because they cant anymore they claim the brand is dead. Couldn't be further from the truth.

Panerai Will Come Back
Really enjoying Panerai these days, extremely underrated IMHO.
Sandwich dials, crazy lume, strap customization - you don’t see the Rolex you’re wearing a dozen times each week - it’s fun. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

I dunno I think I see just as many Panerai’s in the wild as Rolex (not many), but all Panerai’s look the same so

Panerai makes great watches, I still love them as much as I love my Rolex. A variety in any collection is good

It seems people always want to wear something when the brand is popular. Infact Panerai makes greater watch today. before using eta movement now many are inhouse.
if you love the brand stick to it. dont follow people |

To sum it up for me, whenever I see someone wearing Panerai, I have the urge to talk to that random person and look at their Pams, when I see someone wear a rolex, I just keep walking.

Once I had a conversation with ROO wearer...he was asking me about the Panerai I wear then (pam 092 Arktos)
Apparently he only saw arktos on advertisement and catalog but never seen one in person...took him 10+ years to see one in person (we had this conversation back in 2016/2017 arktos is G serial watch from 2004) |

I actually think Panerai is being smart
They now have a submersible line as its own line. Between the LUminor, Radiomir, Submersible and Due lines they have everyone covered. They are now making quite a few 42mm watches which work better for me and many "new" Panerai people . That new size keeps with the current trend of watches being a little smaller than 4-6 years ago.
