Normally, when I don’t hike I head to the gym, I like running on the treadmill and weight training. Well, the gyms here in CA are closed (again). So... Yesterday decided to go for one of my long walks. My goal was 21 miles but it was pretty hot, I only did 17. I am a little disappointed in myself but then again, 17 miles is still a pretty good walk for someone closer to 60 then 50.

Wow. Really awesome you can hike that far! I mountain bike 18-20 mile loops here in Massachusetts and there’s no way I would even consider walking that.

Great work!

Heaviest I’ve been is 260 lbs, lightest is under 150 lbs. I’m currently 155 lbs and exercising daily (although that doesn’t have much to do with it).

I have been fasting every other day for over a year and a half and I don’t plan to change that anytime soon. I’ve found it is the easiest way to maintain and live “normally”.

It’s possible to eat most anything - and in “normal” “American sized” portions when you only eat 4 days a week...

Since my COVID lockdown diet has been really clean and simple, I’ve taken off 12 lbs since March but most of that happened pretty early.

I do not eat at all on Sundays and during the week I eat no dinner at all except on Wed and Sat.. I been doing this for 12 years and like you I pretty much eat what I want "WISELY" and not put on a OZ...Sunday afternoon are very difficult to me but I suck it up and no "SNOWFLAKING" on my part..:) Kind of neat to see what others do to maintain....

Good to hear. I too have discovered this diet hack and I don’t see any reason to change course. It has grown very easy for my since I fast so regularly. Oddly, it makes just about anything taste good since by the time you break your fast you’re grateful to be eating no matter what it is.

It is nice to see others have taken steps in the right direction to lead a more healthy and productive lifestyle . Lots of people of any size make it into their 80's but need walkers, canes, etc etc etc .. I have a goal of trying to still do in my 80's as I do know in my mid 60's...

Amazing! Congratulations on all counts. The cycling and the practically reinvention of yourself due to a solid commitment to a new way of living! Inspiring!
