Ha - well then, I can't share links to images until I get to 10 posts so will circle back w/a photo once I can. But picked up yesterday and I am a fan.

Speedmaster was my first major watch purchase and I still have it and love it dearly... and it has definitely spoiled me for <42mm sports watches. Can't really imagine wanting another kind of Rolex than the 126600. Pretty psyched.

Oh, it's a real thing. Just means that over time, the watch feels too heavy and uncomfortable.

I get it ... it's nice to have a little heft on the wrist. (For an SD I mostly wear my 1665 DRSD or 16600).

However, when the watch starts to feel like an anvil, it's a clear sign it ain't for me.

It’s a true professional Rolex , like the Explorer 2, controversial but it has many cult followers. Unlike sub , Daytona or Explorer, SD is not meant for the masses

Big fan. Love mine SD43. The weight disappears for me after 3 minutes on the wrist. Very balanced and comfortable, my wrist size is 7.5 inches.

I believe the MK1 dial is the SD43 to have. Few years down the road it will be appreciated as the true 50th anniversary Sea-Dweller, similarly to the flat four 16610LV.

It’s a great watch and one of my faves but not for everyone. It’s like wearing a bank vault on your wrist. Solid, purposeful BUT it is big and heavy. If adjusted right it can be very comfortable. Need to take the diving link out and then play with the glide lock.

Hate the cyclops. I had one and ultimately got rid of it as I much prefer the DSSD. Personal preference

I have been wearing this icon of a model for 3 months and it feels as great as when I first purchased it. I am looking forward to wearing it for the whole of 2021 unless I am lucky enough to get a steel Daytona I am waiting for.
Any thoughts of the pros and cons between the SD43 and the “Holy Grail” SS Daytona?

SD43
It’s my favourite in my collection.

I have 2 GMT, a very old sub ND, and James Cameron also.

Can I suggest try it on.
Before i got mine, was fortunate my mate let me wear his for 2 days to make sure i liked it...

It’s a stunning watch and wears better than my JC

for whom who just purchased it and feel uncomfortable wearing it. my advice is, take out the diver extension and do not wear it too tight. i've been wearing it for 2 years since then and feel very comfortable wearing it all day.

The only black diver in production worth buying, IMHO. It's certainly less boring than the rest, to me personally.

I have had my SD43 for over two years now . Extremely comfortable, beautiful, and robust . Not a Daytona fan , I sold my GMT planning to add Deepsea and SD4K this year .
