Totally agree on the attorneys and other professional help. The more I learn and am exposed to in business the more I realize how critical they are.

IIRC blue zones is a diet geared towards longevity.

Longevity without coffee is definitely a tradeoff, not everyone would measure the value of each the same way!

14. American Express Platinum and Business Platinum

$550 per year

Signup and get 75,000 MR points worth $.02 each if you squander them, MUCH more if spend them on premium airfare. $1,500 to $5,000 benefit right out of the gate.

$200 of airline fees immediately refunded annually.

Purchase protection. I opened my $129 Magic Trackpad, dropped and cracked it, filled out a form and had a credit in 24 hours.

Great concierge.

Amazing travel benefits when booking flights and hotels such as $100 credits at check in, free breakfast for two at places that charge $20-$30 for breakfast, etc.

Hilton Honors Gold, Marriot Bonvoy Gold every year.

$200 in free Uber per year.

Centurion Lounge and other lounge access. Free food, free premium bar, a space apart from the crowd.

Extra year of warranty on everything you buy.

Free Global Entry.

$100 free at Saks every year.

On and on. It would be worth $1,000 per year, I think they charge the token $550 to ward off the "I ain't paying a fee" and the "I get 1% cash back" crowd.

I like this thread, interesting seeing what others choose. Mine would be

1) A good quality mattress, pillows and duvet
2) Good quality brogues (oliver sweeney)
3) Trainers (Nike pegasus)

^They are essential... Im always going to be in one of 1 2 or 3

4) My watch collection. If only one for life, my BLNR oyster, but don't make me choose
5) Porche 911
6) iPhone

^Toys for grown ups

7) Good quality knives
8) Nutribullet

^Helps me make good food

9) access to a good gym
10) Lumie bodyclock, makes me start every day off right, and end everyday ready for bed.

I could pick so many more, but they are probably what I use the most and would miss the most

What do you use as your source for your music, LP12 perhaps? Whatever it/they is/are, judging by the rest, it will be fabulous.

Excluding the obvious things like health and a happy marriage, if I could go back 10 years and give myself some advice about what to spend my money on a few things come to mind

1) Top quality leather shoes
2) The best bed you can afford
3) Black out blinds (life changer)
4) Always buy the absolute best quality camera lenses you can afford - my canon 400mm DO ii comes instantly to mind
5) A world renowned IVF specialist (probably the best single decision my wife and I have made)
6) Karuizawa whisky - I bought a large collection about 10 years ago as it was amazing for the price. I never thought whisky could be an investment
7) Port Ellen whisky. My favourite single malt and even though I bought a large number of bottles before the price went stupid, if I could go back I would buy enough to last a lifetime
8) My first rolex (although once you take into consideration it hooked me into buying more this becomes a less convincing argument)
9) Bose quiet comfort noise cancelling headphones
10) My wife’s engagement ring. Pay attention and if you are able to, buy her exactly what she wants

Allen Edmonds Strandmoks, cognac
Schrade LB7 - 39 years old
Rolex 16610 - 32 years old
Mac Pro 2010
Audi Q3
Timberland Heritage boots

Perhaps some work graveyard shift and sleep during the day when the sun is up.

Sun rises at 4:30am here in the summer.

What times do you sleep ?

Elaborate and impressive looking cameras and lenses! What sort of photographs are you taking with these? Are you able to post some of your best shots?
