Yacht-Master still comes with both grey and blue sunburst dials. Milgauss Z-Blue still has a blue sunburst dial. I suppose it is possible that these dials will not be available on future models but it is equally possible that they will be. Is there a particular reason why you say Rolex will discontinue sunburst dials on Professional models? If that is what you actually said. |

Hulk catching up to Daytona

Oh it’s mentioned… ghost listings and inflated asking prices. But use it as your resource to see what you should pay or sell for, you will be disappointed on both counts. |

That’s pretty interesting. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did this. I’m curious how this info came out before Rolex released it . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It does seem like Rolex is moving towards only offering sunburst dials on precious metal watches and has been a topic or discussion for quite some time on the forums. |

Well…the good news is attention was brought to expose a Fraudulent Listing. And the better news for many of us is that own an 116610LV is that the price keeps pushing! As stated, I would love to see it surpass Daytona pricing. I don’t necessarily think it will anytime soon, but since it is in fact discontinued and keeps moving up rapidly on pricing…it certainly has potential to do list that! |

As an owner of a 116610 LV I guess it benefits me to see the pricing jump. That said, as owners how do we benefit if we never sell the watch and cash out? So let’s say it jumps in value to 65k, if it sits on our wrist or in a box, really we make nothing. It’s more of an ego boost than anything; or does it become bragging rights that we own this hyped piece? Either way, to me, this seems ridiculous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Watching paint dry and watching Hulk values, two classic American pastimes.

Maybe, but the white SS Daytona will be at $100k at that point. Tide rises all ships….

Did they say "Sport watch" or "S/S Subs"? Your narrative seems to be shifting around. |

When you say PM models do you mean full PM or TT? There's a TT Sub with a sunburst blue dial that is less than two years on the market. Has someone at Rolex told you that this is being discontinued? That will put a few grand on the used values. Rolex are not known for moving towards a sales/marketing position because it is being discussed in a forum. This is equally as improbable as anyone on a forum having a clue as to what Rolex is thinking of doing next. I suppose that if people talk enough, the law of averages will land in their favour at some point. Just like all those predictions going back countless years that Rolex is about to launch a Coke GMT Master. Some day it will be true. Possibly. |
