Same. Even the 41mm looked and felt smaller than I expected, and perfect.

This is the best one of the bunch, because of the dial. The inner starwheel ring makes the face appear smaller. Yet, when you look at it from the side, still looks and wears like a puck. its the thickest 10mm watch i have. Wears thicker that super case Rolex'.

Ergonomy wise AP product department is not the best one. They needed years and years to made Concept from awful to OK level, the Code is not right from the start, they made a good but still not great thing with the 43 ROO...

I don’t see a problem with the ergonomc factors. I actually find my Code Chrono to be one of the most comfortable watches I own. And I don’t see the thickness as an issue here, it easily slides under a cuff. You can argue around aesthetics, I personally agree that the large 41mm case needs some action on the dial beyond the 3 hands, that’s why I opted for the chronograph. |

Got to say, these are getting pretty attractive in the low 50s, half off MSRP now... I am sure I am the odd one out but I would take this over the Starwheel, with money to save too.

Anyone know if the WG Code QP is less produced or something? Always see the RG version in Moda but haven't seen a WG one.

I would mind adding one of these for what are starting to go for.
Pricing on these MSRP is really chonky - like $109k pre-tax for a rubber strap Code QP?! That's a solid $40k bath as soon as you walk out the door... |

QP prices for both code and RO are too high imo. Prices increases for QP in the last 5+ years are unreasonable.

My understanding, and someone correct me if I am wrong, without the warranty card you can't re-register the watch under your own name. This is the system AP looks at if you flipped a watch, not if you bring it in for a strap or even repair. This is what my SA told me a year or two ago, perhaps things have changed.

I cannot confirm if you need the card to register but on AP's website, you require the warranty number to register.
There is a change you could as AP house to register the serial number under your name. |

The new 38mm rose gold in blue looks quite compelling. Not sure if they are marketing it as a unisex size or strictly for ladies.

If i ever buy an AP from the grey market, the first thing i'll do is go to my local AD and make sure that I tell the management that I bought this off the grey market flipper and not me.

From my perspective i was expecting a flop till eternity, no matter what complication they try to throw in it. Heck even the name is poorly chosen closely followed by Cubitus. |

That said, as a proud owner of a Code that gets way more wrist time than my 16202, I totally agree that the name is totally cringe... |

To be honest i have only handled the early plain version, the chronograph version, and the aventurine dial one - it very well may be that the newer iterations could radically change my perception of the line but i have been turned off big time by AP recently so I haven't been in a boutique / tried any of their watches for the past 2 years.

I never liked the old dial layouts, but the aventurine one is already a step up, so if you don’t like that one no need to run back to the boutique that quickly. That said, I personally think the new stamped dials are a major step up, the large nearly bezel-free dial was just too empty before and the numbers on the dial didn’t work. |

Saying it looks like a MK-watch says something about your ability to appreciate good and modern design. |

I don't think there's ever been a better comparison of how to do modern design correctly and how to do it wrong. How patek spent 25 years working on a new line and arrive at a square nautilus with a recycled movement, recycled bracelet, and recycled dial is beyond me. Papa stern would be ashamed to see where the company is heading.
