RM watches ARE made to be worn during sports. 55 would be perfect for your golf outings
thank you for ur reply, but the question is does anyone really wear a rm55 and play a lot of golf and without any problem? I don't think you need to be better than Bubba in order to damage the watch through the normal play in a golf course. Yes, you might not have the same swing speed as Bubba, but you might hit a lot of fat shot , thin shot and non centre hit in a round and those shot will have much more impact force to the watch on ur wrist than a perfect swing.
and who know, Bubba is being sponsor to wear the watch, his watch might not be working after a few rounds and need to be constant take care of,,, he won't say and we won't know. so I am still trying to get some feedback from any real golfer who have lets say 100 rounds with the rm55 on and tell me there is no problem at all.
It's not a cheap watch and I would really want to play some real golf with it.
hope people who had the experience can share , thanks

Knowing how much R and D go into ever watch I believe you will be fine playing a round of golf with the 55. Mind you I don't own one.

Don't know anyone here with a 55 that has 100 rounds...but maybe someone will pipe in. I don't believe for one minute that Bubba's watch needs repairs at all. IT was MADE for this activity.

Hope you get your answer.

Don't remember where I saw or read it, but I'm pretty sure they talked about the Lotuses being made to withstand the g forces and crashes of race car driving. Can't imagine they didn't figure out how to golf-proof the 55.

I have worn my RM002 during a few rounds of golf and I have a truly violent fast swing. No damage observed and I would warrant a 2 is considerably more delicate than a 55. I would have no issues wearing RMs as they are intended to be used.

RM is not TAG and RM brand ambassadors are not pretty/famous faces, but athletes who test watches to the limits so be free to use it.

Paul, amazing pic

RM011 exited the building on Friday to a new owner.

I will want the new redesign 011 (assuming I like it) which should be out late this year according to my AD and I should get a sneak preview.

I think John has a 035 and 011 he could post

My 035 is getting almost exclusive wrist time--for me it's truly the perfect watch.

Time for you to grab a RM Bryant.

Happy Sunday morning:

Soon Paul very soon, I can feel it. Just need to determine a model that I love (I love all which is the problem) haha. This is why I kept going back to this thread to see Roger and your RM.

Understood.

Try one with a velcro strap (like 035) and one on rubber (011). All super comfortable choices.

Enjoy the hunt

Hopefully John posts some shots (he has 055, 035 and 011).

Yup, I prefer the black strap too. Maybe the red will look better on the beach.

Agree that red is for 'fun/beach/etc' and toss on the black and you're set for more day to day/in office.

Love the versatility of the 035

In Houston for meetings for a few days and had a colleague from London in town. He noticed the RM and we launched into and 30 minute discussion of RM watches.

Getting ready for one more day of meetings...how about a bad hotel lighting shot

Awesome! I love the black! Is changing the strap a DIY thing?

Yes, BUT, there are two (loose) base plates that are in between the watch case and the strap connector. If you don't have those aligned and in the proper direction, it's a nightmare.

Also, had my AD send me the RM tool to make the changes.
