Love the pictures posted to this thread, such great stuff. Here's a shot of my 35mm Saxonia on my 6.5 inch wrist.

That looks so classy and elegant. Great pick! Any shots of the business end of the watch (aka the movement)?

Thanks for the kind words. I took this picture of the movement using my phone's camera a week or so ago.

The L941 is just a beautiful classic. Great warm lighting, too. My iPhone can't focus enough to see this much detail so whatever phone you're using is good.

Love the look of it on your wrist. It was definitely too big for my wrist when I tried it on. I love the "Made in Germany" on this watch. Very neat detail.

Thanks! Size is perfect for me. I’m not the target audience for the Hodinkee preferred 36mm Day Date if you know what I mean. Lol.

I've no choice. I have a 6.5" wrist so it's super small. I love my Saxonia Thin 37mm since it fits my wrist wonderfully. However, I've been really considering the Richard Lange but when I finally tried it out on my wrist, it was bigger than I'd like... So I'm not sure. The 1815 Up/Down fits my wrist more, but something about the Richard Lange just speaks to me. Not sure what to do...

I'm pretty sure that this song was about your exact dilemma; which Lange to choose? Give it a listen and I think you'll have your answer.

I laughed. Touche.

And you're right. The AD I frequent and others have told me go with the 1815 Up/Down, but while that watch is versatile, something about the Richard Lange draws me back despite it's big size on my wrist. I'll go check it out again when I'm in Southern California again.

Just to demonstrate that the Richard Lange is too big for my wrist vs. the 1815 Up/Down, here are the two watches when I tried them out a couple weeks ago.

A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange in Rose Gold:

A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Up/Down in Rose Gold:

And just for comparison of sizes, here's the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony, another watch I was considering:

@tryptobphan

The 1815 up/down looks like a better fit on your wrist compare to the other two and the dial is more interesting to look at in my opinion.

Well, watches always look a bit bigger in pictures, especially when taken the way that you took yours. Next time you check the these out, you might consider wearing the watches and then taking a picture of your reflection in a mirror.

Funny, I had the opposite problem. I really wanted the blue Saxonia, but I was worried about the 35mm size. I finally went for it, liked it, and have liked it even more as I've gotten used to it.

As long as the lugs don't hang over, I'd say go for it if that's the watch you really want. That said, that up/down looks fantastic on you in the pictures.

I've looked at Vacheron too, but when I look at the movements of the watches in my range, I always think, "meh". On the other hand, I've read that the really nice thing about them is that they can be serviced anywhere. I love the looks of the 82172/000P-9811 that user, davidsw, is selling on these forums.

1815 out - Lange 1 in. The size and layout are dynamite for me. I needed applied markers and the touch and blue.

A bit of a n00b question here, but are the Saxonia Moonphase black dials out in the wild...and are they obtainable for a walk-in?

I have not seen much incoming on these watches, and I am very unfamiliar with how quickly Lange puts their new watches out to market. Thanks!

There are. Saxonia watches are easy to find at ADs and boutiques. You should have no problem getting one by walk-in.
