Curious about those that have changed the bracelet on their Daytona. Any thoughts or recommendations??

Picked up yesterday. What a classy look with the black dial! I am thoroughly impressed and enamored by it.

For those who have both black and white dials…which is easier to read?

This has to be my favorite version of the modern Daytona. And this is coming from someone that owns a white 116500ln

Why? Do you prefer the white ceramic?

I would have done that deal with you. The white is nowhere near as nice as your watch. The hollow rings bugged the crap out of me. Your IronPanda is a real panda and is sharp AF.

I kick myself so hard. Back in 2012, I was offered a P serial Daytona 116520 black dial in absolutely pristine condition. Alex at Watchworks (Portland) had it in his safe when I came looking for my next Rolex. I had previously purchased an M serial SD 16600 from him. Anyway, he was asking $10k for that mint specimen Daytona, which for some crazy reason I passed on buying. Still kick myself over that bad decision.

The older (non ceramic bezel) daytonas are really growing on me! Might see if I can scoop up something in the near future :)

Hello everyone!

I haven't posted a lot, but I got my Daytona a couple of months ago now. I even posted pics here a while back too. Any suggestions to not end up with the micro-scratches on a two-toned bracelet or is that just something to deal with? I hadn't expected the gold to pick up those little scratches so easily.

Thank you!!

Gold is soft. Not much you can do about the micro scratches. You could get a cape cod polishing cloth, which will help, but even if it reduces them, the gold will continue to pick up micro scratches. My advice is don't sweat it and lean to live with them.
