It is your call JJ.
The YM and the bluesy are both great watches. You can't go wrong either way. Personally I would stack my pennies so I wouldn't have to sell the platty. Having both is a better answer than just having one.

Okay, how about this...Sell the Platty YM and get the TT YM with the blue dial. Best of both worlds. Kinda!

I pick the newer model for various reasons, #1 new style bracelet with glide lock( Awesome ),#2 Ceramic bezel ( let's be real it doesn't break easy trust me My DSSD has been bang if anything we can say it doesn't scratch easy you know what I mean you have a GMT II C ) # 3 The Blue color is sooooo much nicer. # 4 I think It will fit your collection much better. In the 80's here in Miami Fla that bluesey was so popular every Joe shmo had it but the newer model no sir it's like an upgrade from the older model so you will be upgrading. I don't know if you ever owned the Ceramic model but I think it is so much nicer, No offence to anyone just my opinion
PS #5 Maxi dial!

Thanks but I've owned the TT Blue YM before........that BLUE was just not right - nothing compared with the BLUE on the Sub.

Well like you said JJ, if you don’t keep it up you will slowly slide down the latter and get weak. I want to get ahead of Gaby anyways…

JJ, In my opinion, you have already made up your mind as to which watch you really want. If you could only own one Rolex, which would you choose - a Yacht Master or a Submariner? When you can answer that question, you know you have made the right decision for yourself.

I personally would always pick a Sub over a YM. I voted for you to sell the Platty and get the Bluesy!

Honestly, I thought the Platinum would be more difficult to scratch, not easier. The choice of course is yours, but please clear up this issue--I would appreciate it--thanks!

I voted to keep the YM. I never had any opinion on the YM until today. A guy I know stopped by my shop today, he always wears his SS Sub. He was wearing his YM that I didn't know he had. Not for nothing but I was impressed with the look as I never really seen one on someones wrist in person. Big difference from seeing one in an AD's case. Better think twice JJ.
