Definitely these two-My Sub grails: Me 58' perfect 6538 4 line Big Crown Sub and her perfect sidekick 5513 Milsub: Grail tandem--a lovely couple they make:

Yellow gold Paul Newman daytona or yellow gmt. The ss models are easier to obtain while gold is a challenge for me.

The Killy would be the coolest piece imo, still to this day, after all this time, the most complicated watch to bear the name Rolex.

And Killy himself was a very cool character in the brand's history.

If I had to choose, it would be the same two mentioned by SteelerFan1965, or lately, a DZ San Marco. But I don't really think about them as grails and would be just as happy with many other watches.

When I was a kid, my brother got me a knock-off Tag Heuer S/el. It was the biggest piece of trash in the world... nastly nickel-plated copper that left my wrist green. Yuck.

10 years later, I got one of those watches. Then a vintage Sub became the grail. I now have an awesome 5513 with a superdome. Then a PVD Explorer II... etc etc

When I finally realized that "grail" became equated with "whatever watch is just out of reach cost wise," I realized I was buying for the wrong reasons.

When I stopped caring about the novelty of having an "impressive" watch, the "grail" became having my favorite watch from each manufacturer that "speaks" to me, usually awatch that really signifies the style or philosophy of a company (like a Ball Mad Cow, Sinn U1, Marathon CSAR, Anonimo Militare Automatico/Bronze Polluce).

I want a platinum DD with ice blue roman dial, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to own one someday if i work hard so that doesn't count as my Grail. My dream Grail would be something like this. And if I could afford this there's a good chance I'd have a Patek to go with it.

My grail seems to be the one I want next.....I wnated a breitling bentley, so i got that. Then i wanted a Panerai so i got a 111. Next i wanted a rolex, so i got a deepsea. I guess my next grail would be a PAM 312 or 372. Beyond that a AP ROO Safari would be nice.
