How refreshing, the sunbirsty dial Oyster Perpetual Datejust of Joacim I thought brilliant, thats my kinda watch , Can anyone tell me if I can get suitable hands to fit a Tudor Princess Oysterdate, that will make it easy to read the time...(similar to the one of Jaocim, and can you point me in the direction.
I have a post elsewhere asking this but not going anywhere |

Bezel Insert and Sapphire Caseback on 16710
Love the great mod's. It is good to know that other too make modifications and break the sacrilegious Rolex "thou shalt not modify" mindset.
Here are two mods on my M series 16710: Inserted faded bezel insert to make the watch look more classic (although it has a 3186 engine; best of both worlds) A Thomas Preik new updated sapphire caseback to view the 3186 movement. [My photos and my images are not like Jocke's, but I try..] -Sheldon |

Look Mom, no Cyclops!
Hope I did not post this already. I was inspired by Fr. John. I switched to a Daytona crystal as I am not a fan of the cyclops on something I wear to work (knocked 2 off already on other watches). I still have the original crystal. I guess this mod is a little lame compared to many others here.

Not usually a fan of the Milgauss but the brushed bracelet really improves the watch IMO and it is something I would consider now. Great mod.

Just got another bezel done today and put on my white dial daytona - put on black sub-dial hands and a red second hand also. Thinking of brushing the band now too. Sorry about the crappy phone pic.

16610 LV with blue insert with silver lettering and white gold circled pearl to match the steel case. (These silver inserts where made for submariner yellow gold watches in the eighties as far as I know (16608), but these inserts were made afterwards with gold letterering with the result of making them unfortunately unsuitable for stainless steel submariners).
I just had to replace the original yellow gold circled pearl by a white gold one. |

The matte finish is called PVD or Physical Vapor Deposition and can be done by a number of companies but a good all around company that can fix you old lumins as well is:
http://www.industrialwatchworks.com/pvd.html Their order form indicates that the cost for the bracelet is $275 and cases start at $650. Redoing the lumins & hands start at $100. Just remember that once you do this you will have to remove the watch band if you want it serviced by Rolex. Good Luck on you Rolex Adventure. gary
