I for the life on me don't understand why Rolex has not offered that combo.
So much easier to read. Maybe it's because a lot of Daytona owners don't really use or need a chronograph.

Sorry to bring an old thread back...

but has anybody heard from DHH lately?

Would love to source one of his custom bezels.

Thanks!

yes - I'm alive . just doing other things with my family and a bit tainted after Steve Mullholland stole my DRSD - but at least he is in prison now.

PM me - I have 20 bezels in a drawer.

I think they all look really good. Remember, there's only people on this forum that will ever call a modified watch a 'frankenwatch' and who cares about that??

I'm considering having my panda dial 116509 bezel DLC coated and the engravings in ceramic white:

Sorry to hear that! I don't have a Daytona (yet) but when I can finally get one after saving for a while, I would love to have you do a conversion with black dial for me! This looks amazing. PM me so I know more or less how much you charge and what exactly you do as to keep it all original... Thanks!

This is sad in a way; it reminds one that, despite the great new movement, the design of the Daytona fell off a cliff when it went bling and still has nothing on the older ones!

My daytona is now with Titan Black getting the original white gold Rolex bezel DLC coated in a very high gloss black with silver coloured engravings (to resemble the modern Rolex ceramic bezels). Some will love it others will hate it due to not liking mods but it remains 100% Rolex with NO aftermarket parts.

I'll post an update in a couple of weeks when I get it back!

Is there anyway to also lume the acrylic tachymeter scale? And/or have you thought about doing any GMTs? A white face GMT with Lume Acrylic/sapphire 24-hour bezel is something I would buy.

It's funny...I have no problem modifying a very expensive car but can't bring myself to do it to a $12k watch....strange!
