I wear a Rolex to work almost every day. Our CEO has a blusey that he'll wear once in a blue moon, but other than that, I'm the only Rolexer in the house. If I don't have a Rolex on, I usually have my Panerai.
I do sometimes feel out of place wearing my Patek to work. It wasn't a big deal until I named my firstborn Patek (which happened about a month ago) and now people are questioning where I got the name from and searching around on Google. |

wear it all the time outside of work. hate to say it, but people do notice and people do judge at work. they might not outright say it, but they will take notice of what you wear (watch, shoes, belt, etc.) outside of your normal day to day functions. so if you happen to just catch a "hater" at work, that definitely can affect your bonus unfortunately.

Agreed, they notice. I was worried a bit about this before I bought mine, but I dress better than most daily so I stopped worrying about it too much. I do tend to pull my cuffs over it in meetings though, but I'm sure that will wear off too.

It's best that I don't. My billing is quite high on other peoples mis-fortune. I don't think that it would be the right thing for me to do.

I wore an Omega SMP to work for 10 years & now my Rolex SD for about 6 years.
Agree with other posters about why buy the watch if not to wear it !! You earn the cash & have the right to buy\ wear what you want |

I wear a fine timepiece daily. I wear mostly Rolex but every now and then an Audemars or Patek. Everytime I look down at my wrist I am reminded of my goals and the rewards of success.

Everyday. If I go home for lunch, I may change to a different one if I feel like it!
My boss wears an Omege Constellation.

I wear my Sea-Dweller every day. I wouldn't wear a Gold Day-Date to the hospital though. I think that sends the wrong message to my patients. Maybe Platinum though! ;)

I wear my Sea Dweller every other day or so, in rotation with an IWC Pilot Chronograph. When I need to go somewhere a bit dubious through work, I wear a £20 Casio.
If you are afraid of what your boss may think about what you wear on your wrist, there are larger unresolved issues involved. |

I wear mine when I swim, at work, grocery shopping, watching the game, range shooting, working on the sprinklers, etc. But, I never wear it to weddings--somethings are just too taboo.

Yes you must be joking. If your boss is that thin skinned you need to start looking for another job.

I am also in the tech industry and work for a very well know computer company, and although I am the only one wearing a Rolex at work, there is a brad new Breitling Super Avenger that I just saw hit the wrist of a coworker.
Plus, my boss makes more then me. I know that. He knows that. Everybody knows that. Doubt he cares whatsoever I have a Rolex on my wrist. I think everyone assumes I came from inheritance or I'm a drug dealer, irregardless i don't care what people think about me wearing it. I worked hard for it. WEAR YOUR WATCH! Stop worrying about what others think. |

Work and play. That's why I bought them. But I guess it can depend on where you work as far as how comfortable one feels. But I could not justify spending thousands on something and not enjoying it how it was meant to be enjoyed!

Never dress nicer than your boss? My boss wears horrible, mis-fitted suits and scuffed up shoes. His dress shirts are three sizes too big and his ties are nylon, not silk. Although he wears a TT YM (practically swinging around his wrist because its too big), he chooses to dress like that. I will never, ever dress down just because he's my boss. That said, I wear all my watches and as always, my Panerai always draws attention.
In the corporate world, you dress for the job you want, not the job you have |

Of course I wear it to work. My Rolex is part of me, on my wrist everyday. It's nothing to be ashamed of. If it were, I wouldn't be ready for a Rolex.
