That is one nice looking watch, a classic. Looks very good on your wrist, the size seems just right for you. Congrats on a great find.

An absolute Gorgeous piece. I've always loved the DJ's on Oyster bracelet. Let alone one that is a near-vintage New Old Stock.
Congrats on acquiring it. Keep it for life and wear it in good health, buddy! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?m4gt43 |

I've really been enjoying pics of your 16200 Anders. Beautiful wrist shots.
Coincidentally I have had the DateJust with silver dial, batten markers, smooth bezel and oyster bracelet in my sights for some years. Like you, I love the minimal beauty of that particular configuration of the DateJust, as well as the watch's versatility. For a while, the itch was scratched when I acquired the similar looking Grand Seiko SBGR 051 - a lovely watch, no doubt, but the height of the case and the crown bugged me a little. In fact, they bugged me sufficiently that I traded my GS when a nice 16200 came up for sale with a local dealer. Anyhow, enough jabbering. Here is my 16200: |

Wow, nice to see this thread pop up again. I has ben ten months since I got the DJ, and it is no longer NOS, but still very, very mint. It has been worn in rotation during the time, and I'd say that it is currently on my top three list amongst the watches I have enjoyed the most the last year. No new pictures, I'm afraid.
Thanks for all the comments! (I am pretty impressed by the large number of positive responses to "an old plain Datejust" ) Best, A |
