Bought my first today

Hello all. I'm Bugsy from Pennsylvania and I put a deposit on my TT Yachtmaster today! My AD had to order it so it's still 6 to 8 weeks out. I'll post pics as soon as I get it home.

HUGE thanks to Wolfgang for the help.

Hi folks,

My names Alexander I'm from Aberdeen, Scotland. I've been posting for a week, maybe 10 days. I own a 1973 Red Sub (dropped off at Rolex UK for service this morning) and have a Breitling B-1 as a daily wearer.
There are 2 watches on my wish list 1 Rolex, 1 not. I'd like a black dialled Daytona as for me it's the epitomy of sports watch style. The non- Rolex would be a IWC Big Pilot very classy leather strapped watch for nights out and the like.
I've got a lot of good advice from the site so far and will continue to post as I get news of my subs return etc.

This is me

Hello! My name is Rafael,I live in Puerto Rico(between the atlantic and the caribbean sea)I am a physician with an obsession for high quality mechanical watches.I've had some Jaegers,Cartiers,Chopards and Omegas but find myself coming back to Rolex. In the past some interesting Rollies I of mine have been a 70's SD,1977 GMT master,70's Sub no date, a TT GMT master with a wine dial, and my most recent loss a P series white dial Cosmo. The thing is I get tired of watches no matter how awesome or unique they are because I wear them every day.Currently I have an M series LV and very soon will get a white dial Expy II.Hope I dont get tired of the last two or at least the LV.The more I look at it the more I like that green bezel.I do not like the direction Rolex is taking with the redesigns.I find the new GMT case two bulky and out of proportion with the bracelet. The lugs are too fat and the polished center links on new Rolex watches have made lose their stelthy understated look.I think this is OK on gold watches but not for SS ones.It is a pleasure being here with you guys,I have acquired a lot of valuable info and have good laughs everyday.God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone. I want to echoed the statements many others have made. This is a really fantastic forum, and I'm really happy I've found it. Of course, my work production has gone down and I'm staying up later at night. . . .

I have one Rolex, which I wear everyday. It's a ss dj from the mid-70s. I've told this story before on another post, but I'll go ahead and repeat. I received the watch from my father upon graduating from college. My dad received the watch from my grandfather prior to marrying my mom. So, the watch holds a great deal of sentimental value to me, and is priceless. We had a boy earlier this year, and I plan to pass this watch down to him in the future.

I'm really wanting a daytona. (who isn't?) Until I can get one, I'm planning on getting a SS TOG blue face. I really like the steel/titanium yacht master, but unforutnately, I have girl wrists, so the 40mm might be too big. Yes, I realize that the daytona is also 40mm. I also plan on getting the wife a DJ blue face or a yacht master and my dad some sort of rolex (don't know which one yet).

I really appreciate all the information and the great congeniality. I'm really glad that I joined.

Day 1 on the forums, and I have a TT Blue Sub... I am looking at a White Face Explorer II, TT Daytona (why not get TT for less than SS??!) and there was one SS Datejust I saw on one of the "other" watch sites that piqued my interest. I would describe it if I could, and I took the picture from the site to add to my shopping list, but I can't repost it because it isn't mine
