But Bleu Noire has a nice ring imho. Much nicer than Batman but is assume you no how to speak two words in French and have an education past third grade. Same number of syllables however as Batman.

I don't mind calling it Batman as long as they don't call it the Dark Knight!

After two years and it's still being called, obviously it stuck.

It is spelt Noir.

And Batman is way cooler than calling it the literal translation blue black.

My French is rusty however I think Bleu Noir sounds far cooler than Batman. Batman is enough for me to not want to own one. Literal translation be damned. Hulk also is a dissuader. I can live with Coke, Pepsi, and Root Beer however not comic characters.

Film Noir for example has a literal translation but none use it. At any rate call it what you will; I likely won't buy one anyway.

There seems to be two camps.

Those that care about nicknames and those that don't.

Honestly I like it because its easier to call something Hulk than remembering 116610LV. Also easier to type. But I am pretty bad at retaining information

Here's the reason why it's called "The Batman"...... Cos Watchtime Magazine says so!
Non photoshopped piccie, honest- Middle East edition.

I wonder if lamenting about a watch's nickname would be considered normal or nuts......What say ye?

Wow, awesome, more explicit than the US edition cover I posted, even if I guess the article has probably the same content

And some say the nickname did not stick....

Wether you like it or not is not the question, and I think it would be a pity that a watch nickname could be a deal breaker....
Not a big deal.

It's still referred to as "Bruiser" at my local AD. So, I'd say that not only did it not stick, that NOTHING has stuck, or they ALL stuck.

IMHO, my best swag is that you have about 40%+/- calling it BLNR, 40%+/- calling it Batman, and about 20%+/- calling it Bruiser...

Batman fans don't like Bruiser, Bruiser people don't like Batman... And BLNR people dislike BOTH other names... What do we do...
