I generally enjoy this thread. Great shots of APs and I love me some toys, particularly cars. We talked about it in the beginning but I think it's worth bringing up again. "Wife or girlfriend" should be removed from the title.

It does not matter if there is a dash in between. It's not appropriate to group them in this way.

It lowers the standard set here on the forum. It reinforces stereotypes. It's just no good.

For the record I don't see the OPs intent of being malicious at all. I'm just thinking of new members who come here and may read the title and be disgusted. I say this based on the reaction of my fiancé who is thick skinned.

Tom I'm not sure I understand your interpretation. I don't find "wife or gf" in the title demeaning at all.
If anything I absolutely adore and respect my wife with my utmost admiration.
I would love to post a pic of her with an AP.... she just doesn't like them ;)

I looked at a Cayman S five years ago or so and just couldn't pull the trigger. Things got busy and I haven't really kept up with the newer models.

"...Wife or GF or other toys" is a little offensive to even me, and I'm one who usually delights in political incorrectness. I know it wasn't the intent, but like Tom said it potentially makes a bad impression.

Same here Dave. I'm not the kind of person who has a filter in day to day life. I just thought the forum had higher standards than me as this is pretty much the only place I have a filter, so as to not get banned

Hey everybody,

I must say...I was a little disappointed to check-in to this thread and read comments hinting at my assumptions towards women in general. I would say the first photo that I posted of my wonderful girlfriend ecstatic when she tried on her first AP in pure excitement for me sets the tone for my reasoning behind this thread.

In no way was this thread implying that women are simply "toys" or looped in with the other category. I am sorry that you may have taken it that way, but I would recommend focusing on the wonderful photos in this thread, and enjoy the wonderful life that you AND your S/O share together.

With that being said,

I want to change the title of the thread, but I do not know how. Can someone please advise?

Hey man I did not think that was your intention from the start. I was merely speaking on how it "reads" if you catch my drift. I honestly believe you are well intentioned and didn't mean to ruffle your nice thread.

If you do want to modify the title you could PM any of the great mods here. Ken aka HL65 may be able to assist but these matters are at their discretion.

The thread has been around for this long so they clearly don't see anything wrong with it. As such, don't feel the need to act on my opinion. I just wanted to express my thoughts is all

Yes. I fell in love with the simplicity and elegance of the 15400. I figured it would be the best way to start the AP collection. Eventually, I want to add a forged Carbon 44mm novelty or tungsten. Of course, that is just the short list :)
