Greetings guys, I have a question about the PanoMaticLunar. Is the Moonphase set independently of the time? In other words can I just wait until a full moon or something and then click the inset pusher until the moon is synchronized, without messing with the crown? Thanks!

You can adjust the moonphase independently of the time, but as with the date, you should avoid advancing the moonphase between about 7:00pm and 2:00am. This post might be helpful: https://www.keepthetime.com/blog/gla...aliber-100-02/

Correct.

I don’t wear it often, and I should admit that I typically only set the date and time when I wear it (no winder). Moonphase indication is beautiful to look at and I like when it is properly set but I ultimately don’t really use it.

You're not alone! Most folks don't take the time to set their moonphase indicator. Being that the change is so incremental, it's hard to notice when it's not set accurately. Watchmakers work hard on configuring a beautiful moonphase complication and it's kind of a waste not to use it properly.

Haha this is very true, I got mine about a month ago and just set the time, without bothering with the moonphase. Really its more about just knowing everything is working correctly!

I am a tall guy so the 42mm is just perfect for me. There are so many lovely watches (also GO) at 39-40mm which unfortunatly are on the small side for me.

My statement is about the relative costs. Mine is on the low end of the spectrum. However it’s a great bang for the buck especially with the number of complications.

Sorry to be boring but here's another PML, which I already posted in another thread but I reaaaly like it...



I'm thinking to try it next on a dark blue strap (like the one the blue-faced version comes on), as I think the strap colour would complement the blued hands and keep it on the slightly casual end of the dressy scale - but I'm far from being bored of the standard black one yet, so no hurry.

That's interesting, I've been looking at these, and the one thing I was going to do was get that same dial, but either buy or ask for the blue strap...think it would really make the watch pop.

I have also considered that option but I never acted on it. If I am not mistaken the blue strap on the blue PML has a velvety finish. In any case I am confident it will look good. Brown works well too. It is true that there are blue accents but the face of the watch is white/silver and it works with many strap colors.
