You're in the same place I was when I bought the DSSD in that I was also downsizing the collection and looking for a one watch solution.

The DSSD had just been released with the MK II dial and I fell in love with it.
The font and spacing is nicer to my eye.
After getting used to the weight I knew I had found something that I virtually had to commit to anyway.

All the other Rolex watches went and now I have both DSSD's

thats a very difficult question to answer, as mentioned I like a heavy watch hence the SS PO. The DSSD is very similar in weight and feel to the PO, but the SD43 does feel better..

So if I had to choose one over the other, id have to go with the SD43

Those comparison photos on page 1 are EXCELLENT!! They really illustrate the thickness differences for those considering any of those watches. I had a DSSD and found it too thick on my wrist - made wearing dress shirts problematic. I see a SD43 in my future!

Great post! has anyone asked about the dial? Is the 43 dial/hands/etc larger then sub? Sorry if addressed already

I sold my Sub C and picked up a SD43, and I couldn't be happier. Such a great size for a dive/sports watch. Will definitely be a classic that holds its value like Subs do.
