I am on the waiting list at both those branches apparently, yet neither could tell me what number I am and both said it was unlikely I'd get one... yet I see here people picking them up!

Any tips? I am in Scotland, I have no issue at all flying in to Copenhagen or Paris for the day...

Thanks!
I got mine in Copenhagen in September . I got on the "wishlist" in June . They called me and left a message that if I didn't reply within two hours they had to let it go since the list is loong. I jumped in my car and picked it up an hour later .they are still taking names for the list in Copenhagen. They do have one on display also but not for sale.
Good luck hunting

4-6 weeks on the wrist. It's changing rather slow compared to my Oris Carl Brashear

Thanks

I was not convinced the waiting list was an actual 'list' in the traditional sense. And they more or less admitted it wasn't... I was on the Paris one since 4 August but they've admitted they hadn't actually finalised the list until they see some stock. And now that I am on the London list also, they removed me from the Paris one. And in London they got 30 pieces last month, but did not use the list in terms of people 1-30 got them... instead they called customers they already know who have bought from them in the past.

They say I should get one by April 2018, but that I will get a call and have to pick it up that day. Which seems rather unreasonable given the efforts I've made, that I'm willing to pay 100% deposit in advance, and that I would still be willing to jump on a plane at maybe 2-3 days notice. 2 hours notice seems unreasonable.
They did however point out to me that from a collectors perspective it is better to wait as 2018 is actually the anniversary year, so unlike for example the 50th anniversary Rolex sub where the anniversary is only the first few months run, they implied it was better waiting.
I wasn't buying to shelf it, get moist over the serial number and hope for accumulation though, I want a watch to wear!

I am amazed at how these watches seem to be limited and so few "out in the wild".

Good luck to all those trying to obtain one.

I just got a call Friday night, and flew to London yesterday to pick mine up! Pics to follow...

BUT... all the current owners - what does your box look like?
Mine is black and feels like cardboard, inlay is black suede. Yet when I see these watches for sale online they all seem to have the wooden black laquer box with brown leather & suede inlay.
I didn't open the box in the store as the watch itself was in a separate protective container, which I put it back into thinking it would be better for the flight home.
Pic attached of my box...

Here's a comparison of pics I've seen online. And I own a regular Black Bay Blue and it's in one of these boxes too (which seem much better spec).

Congratulations

I've seen at least two different boxes - almost as if Tudor shipped the watches separately from the box (not that this makes much sense) or maybe the branch placed the watch in the wrong box. Hard to say... . I wasn't aware of a Bucherer in London; where did you get it? EDIT: Oxford Street 400

FWIW, mine came in this box:

More pics of mine if you're interested here:
First Tudor: Heritage Black Bay Bronze Blue

Looking forward to a few wristshot of yours

Yours is the one I was expecting.

I don't want to be awkward with them about it - they did I think bump me up the waiting list appreciating I'd been messed about being moved off the Paris list and being keen enough to fly for pickup etc.
But as much as I intend to wear the watch, it also likely will have decent resale value in future but that will take a bit of a hit if I have it with some random box not the correct one. I've seen pre-owned Rolex with a box I know isn't the right one and it's put me off the whole sale. So I kind of feel like I made a lot of effort to get the watch, they need to at least look into this for me and potentially a box-swap.

As for Bucherer in the UK - they just bought 'The Watch Gallery', a company that really just provided the in-store 'boutiques' at higher-end department stores. So Selfridges in this case - as of about June this year, you go into Selfridges in London via one of the Oxford St entrances and that whole section is desks of various watches all under Bucherer. I took the time whilst there to try on the IWC Portugeiser Bucherer blue edition, a Piaget Polo S and a couple others. Mix of staff, but most very knowledgeable and helpful.

Watches of Switzerland is right over the road more or less too.

This sort of thing would bug the hell out of me too. Maybe not as much however if it came directly from the AD, and I had the receipt to prove it. Also, you could always get a new box later if you really feel the need to.

My blue came in the same box as the original brown, which I also have, and like the box Traveler posted.

For what it's worth, mine was sourced from one of the Switzerland stores.

With all of that said, I am convinced that this watch is never going on the 'for sale' list, so that alone would probably help make me forget about the box rather quickly.

Cheers

My watch came from Bucherer UK and came with a similar looking 'cardbox' type box. Oddly it is not exactly the same as yours - mine doesn't come with the sleeve to hold the manuals / papers on the upper cover. Instead the manuals are stored underneath the watch itself. I didn't get the Bucherer hang tags that you see in the European delivered versions either...

Thrilled to be in the club, in the USA no less! Didn’t think that would happen without great expense and time... but a preowned one came up for sale recently and I fell into it. Paid a small-ish price premium due to market scarcity, but nothing unreasonable.
So glad I did.
Here’s some shots from the wrist (some are better than others)

What's crazy is that I prefer the leather over the woven NORMALLY, but that blue woven strap compliments the dial beautifully. It's a holistic work of art.

mine is bought in Paris, and came with the normal box that everyone carries, I would call the distributor and ask them to please change the box for the original watch, surely they have had an oversight.

Bucherer bought Tourneau, so I’m hoping these will start showing up in the US as that transition proceeds. Best version of the BB yet imho.

Cannot remember when I made the enquiry probably last autumn after Bucherer has landed in England. In fact I had tried their outposts in Europe earlier but no joy, found and bought the bbs&g from my local AD instead. Now I have 3 Tudor BB including the original red colour.
