I’ll see if time brings some more rolexes 🤷🏻*♂️
At the moment I’m more than happy with my Exp II.

I think a lot of just one Rolex guys are not watch guys at all they just buy one to own a Rolex for the name. Just to know they are wearing a Rolex for the presteige factor. A guy at my work has a two tone Yachtmaster and doesnt know the difference between a quartz or automatic movement. He told me "it works on your pulse" and the hand sweeps, not ticks. He said he just wanted to one day own a Rolex to remind him of his success.

Some people... scratch that. Most people use time pieces as strictly utilitarian tools to tell the time. Especially now, with the popularity of the Apple Watch (and honestly, they keep much better time) I think a lot of people out there only have one watch. Or, that is to say, they’ll only have one watch at a time. Replacing their smart watch only after it’s ecome obsolete.

But I think the majority of the general population has 1 watch or less.

I think You could compare a watches... specifically Rolex to Harley Davidson. A lot of people love motorcycles, some people grew up riding motorcycles and could assemble, disassemble, fix, tune, and modify motorcycles blindfolded. They may have no love for HD or no locality to HD and they may just be a weekend rider. It doesn’t make them any less of a “motorcycle person”.

On the other hand, you have riding clubs and motorcycle gangs who ride nothing but Harley Davidson and judge everyone else (I’m not saying all MCs do this - just as an example). They judge the Harley weekend rider (for not living and breathing HD). They judge the motorcycle enthusiast who prefers a Ducati over HD. They judge the people who drive a car when it’s raining because they’re not “hardcore enough”.

But the bottom line is one type of enjoying motorcycles is no better or worse than any other. It’s all up to you and how you chose to enjoy it... as long as you enjoy it. Whether “it” be a motorcycle or a particular watch.

Ultimately, they’re all just corporate logo’s anyway.

You can say that again. I like that band. I’m in the process of swapping out a band on an AK, I just can’t decide on the style. Did you swap that out, yourself!

Beauty, feel, aesthetics and fit. I was walking by Royal de Versailles in Toronto, back in the mid nineties, and I saw this gold bracelet Cellini in the window, (it was all gold color and no numerals). I went in and asked if I could try it on... Long story short, it is, to this day, the only piece of jewelry I have ever owned. I run, cycle and swim miles, so the watch stays home a lot. It still feels and looks like it was made for me, so yes, it's my only Rolex.
