Its not interesting me, remind me design of GP, while the numerals print disappoint me as well.
However, I like the case, most importantly the attitude of brand trying to innovate.
At least we aint seeing AP is announcing a "new model" by modifying based on current RO.

There is a huge market of potential buyers in the far east and in the west, with wrists less than 7cm who would love an offering of 40mm.

I asked my contact at one of the AP boutiques to please mention this to the powers that be when he went to Switzerland a couple of months ago.........FWIW. I said some of us are begging AP to come out with a ROO line that would be smaller in size. Do away with 42mm and keep a 39 or 40mm line, coupled with their 44mm line.

......

AP probably thinks ROO 42 and 44 are already very different when it comes to styling. I don’t see them getting rid of ROO 42mm as that’s a “classic” size.

From what we learned in WISCON, I feel AP wants to remind people they are more than Royal Oak so I feel they may not come up with a new size for RO or ROO but focus on a new line/name.

Big numerals make it look like an explorer/pilot's watch. Dial looks remarkably plain.

Only interesting thing about it is the skeletonized lugs.

Not excited about this one at all...
My thoughts exactly, but then to be fair I'm not a 'dress watch' person, never owned one and likely never will. I do find the date window positioning odd. On my ROCs I don't mind it, as the dial is well occupied with other detail, but it looks strange on a plain dial like this.

The offset date isn't a big dealbreaker for dress watch especially if they make it smallish and match the dial color. It would fit the dresz watch quite well ans differentiate it from a sports watch straight date at 3, like on most rolexes.

Giant Audemars Piguet logo is kinda a deal breaker, its too shouty and screams attention. Not really needed when the case of the new piece is so distinct. Kinda like the RO or ROO doesn't need a Giant AP logo for people to know its an AP.

Depending on the case size, I really don't find the AP logo all that giant.

Great find. He says it all right there: 2019, RO production numbers will go down even further, to push their new line (and keep their total production number at 40k pieces).

Then, in 2020, they will again release more RO models.

Seems like no replacement for 15400 coming this year, and then something announced year year?

I asked him to get me a black dial 15400 and he said they’re not getting in any new ones, and that a replacement (15500) will be released at SIHH.

Could be wrong, but from the interview it doesn't sound like it will be this year.
It wouldn't make sense for them to take away from the attention of this new line they're launching by also replacing the 15400 with the 15500 at the same time. It seems like AP wants all of the attention to be given to this new line.

From the interview, it sounds like like if a replacement were to come, it would be in 2020.
In the interim, maybe release only 15450's for 2019?

Who knows.......

Looking forward to seeing some high res pics.. 20 or so mins let see.
I'm deff not a buyer when it comes to the 11.59, but I am glad to see AP attempt to become a more well rounded brand thats isn't focused solely on the RO.
This watch is pretty good design wise for someone whose interested in going for a more dressy look. IMHO this design can compete with some of pateks and vacherons classic designs.

That’s kinda disappointing mate really. Unsure how can such blunders happen.

Delay of reveal by a few minutes due to technical glitches makes some sense which was the case in last reveal as they didn’t reset the timer. This time, resetting time to delay it by 8 hours is sadly not on par with brands name.

No. I went to website 10 minutes before reveal time and the timer was already reset.

You didn’t remiss anything. AP missed to calculate time correctly.
