Humans are social animals. Those who deny it are are either ignorant or liars....neither is a commendable trait.

Actually you need confidence (and $$) before you can get a Rolex.

My Rolex doesn't give me self confidence however it has made me feel scared ---
Last time was when I was on holiday in the wrong bar in the wrong part of town.....
I was lucky I left with it...after the local drug addict said ..
I will take your wallet and that nice Rolex Watch
He then seemed to fall hard when I judo threw him

I never even finished my pint when myself and the wife left
Some times it's better to wear a seconda

Why didn’t you “just” buy a cheaper watch?

I walk up and immediately announce to everyone that yes I am indeed a Rolex owner and it helps my self confidence with the ladies. Upon hearing this news I usually have 3 or 4 hanging off me. Fathers offer the daughters to me for marriage. Mothers want me to father their grandchildren. Wearing a Rolex gives me the confidence of 10 men.
Hahaha! ......beautiful.

Nothing. I buy and wear what I like and enjoy intrinsically as a collector. My possessions don’t give me self confidence.

My watch collection does not give me confidence as much as it helps me tell time and go with what I am doing. Right tool for the right task. It also reminds me of my many blessings as I can spend money on something that could be described as frivolous. Don't get me wrong, I love my watches and enjoy wearing them but if all thing had to go the watches might be first.

I was born before what they describe as ‘’millennials’’(Thank God)
So I do not gather emotion/feelings attached to apparel. I wear Rolex because it is a quality functional piece of kit

ROLEX doesnt do much for self confidence, it’s self confidence that helps acquire ROLEX

Sorry for the overwhelmingly adverse responses to your question OP! I think I understand what you mean and like others said may just be a choice of word issue.

Like the quotes below, it's not really a boost in self-confidence that I feel when I put mine on in the morning... but I'm definitely excited to put it on and look forward to it as part of my morning routine. And when I look down it puts a smile on my face and maybe a feeling of yes, I have been able accopmlish some great things professionally and personally.
