Casio G-shock & gyms, like peanut butter & jelly.

G Shock for the gym

but if I need to leave it at the locker, I rather have it on my wrist

I've never worn my Casio training watch to a suit and tie affair as there was no need. That's kind of my thought when it comes to wearing my Rolex to dig a mine shaft or mow the lawn. So, no, I don't (didn't) wear it to the gym.

I wear my Sub-C to the gym almost daily. Then again, I don't make new threads questioning whether it's alright to wear a dive watch to the beach either... I buy my watches to wear and enjoy them - I'm just careful not to bang my wrist into the weights. Haven't had any issues in years of working out with my watches.

I don't mind to wear my rolex at the gym but I am a little worried about stretching the band.. If I happen to be wearing it already I don't want to leave it in my car or locker..

Interesting thread revival....

I would not ever wear my YG DDII lifting the man weights or running, but that's just me

i don't even wear my g shock to the gym. My wrist swells, plus I lose flexibility in the wrists.

Wear any of my watches to the gym and switch to my Swim when swimming. The watches are left in my pants in my locker...locked.

I mostly swim and the Swim tracks distance, strokes, and efficiency. Pretty good for the purpose.

Yep, thread is revived. Have a Polar Explorer II & it never comes off the wrist. That includes the gym 3-4 times per week. It can handle it if I can.

do you still wear your rolex in gym for workouts?

Lock it in my locker. Pray no one steals it. It's insured anyway.

How hard can you possibly be working out if you are wearing a Rolex? % of people wearing a Rolex at the crossfit games, american ninja warrior, any marathon, ironman, tough mudder, spartan race, pickup basketball, flag football, soccer: 0

My workout takes place at 5:00 AM, soon after waking up and at that time I still haven't my watch strapped on, so the answer is generally no but when I go in the evening I have the Daytona on.

I don't want to know the time during my workouts. Time moves way too slowly at the gym and looking at a watch- any watch- only makes it worse.

I used to wear my Exp II in the sauna. A quick wash with soapy water afterwards and it still looked pristine.

I wear a Rolex in the gym but am not a sleeper. We call them "campers" as they sit on the machines, play with their phones, and do multiple reps.
Worse is when there are two and they keep switching and lock up the machine.

Never wear a watch to the gym. Nothing good can happen to it when tossing iron and there is no need anyway since there is a clock on the wall in every room of my gym and I'm always going directly home afterwards anyway.

Chaps

I am 65 years of age and I spend a fair amount of time attending funerals of people who spent too much time in the gym.
