You can't control what other people think. You earned it... a thousand times get it and enjoy it.

This is the internet, and we all have different opinions....
I just want to disagree with the people saying that you should pretend your watch is fake or a gift I think your students should learn that hard work pays off. Why would you lie about something that you work hard to earn? I sure as hell wouldn’t. I wouldn’t walk around showing it off, but if someone asked me “is that a real Rolex?” I would say yes (Unless this was in a dark alley at midnight or something) |

I'm a college professor and wear my Rolex's in class every night. At first I felt bad because I teach adults in a continuing education capacity. Continuing education means they're either out of work and retraining to get a job in a different field or they're in a crap job looking for a career switch. I also teach in computer science so I'm constantly helping students at their computers and they see and make comments about my watches all the time. I work hard, two full-time jobs in the education sector and I feel I've earned the right to buy and wear something nice regardless of where or who I'm teaching. Hopefully my watches, at least to my students, reflect that the field they're aspiring to work in has the potential to be fruitful in the end.

I wouldn't mind if my kid’s teacher wore his/her Rolex at all.
BUT, that Tudor Blackbay has a sentimental value that you can’t replace with any watches out there. If you want a Rolex, save up a bit more or gift your self again later on in your life. |

My 10th grade math teacher is how I was exposed to Rolex. He had a tt datejust with champagne tapestry dials. I loved it! This was a very rural school district too.
