I can't wait to see what watch this turns out to be. Excellent thread. Would be great to see a Milguass turn up.

OP, do you have some great relationships and history with the ADs you're planning to visit?
Or you're just betting on plain beginner's luck?

OP why not say just which watches, if offered, you'd likely keep ?

Oh I got a couple - since you're selfishly keeping the SS Daytona for yourself

I'd do:

1) NOS OP 39, white dial - 114300
2) NOS Explorer I - 214270
3) Sub 124060 / Sub date 126610LN - already have a sub, but would pass this on at retail as well to a buddy - long time WIS who cant seem to get one

Great idea and a nice way to support the community. I am very happy with my YM and DJ but would love the Pepsi, Sub or New Explorer and who is going bro say no to a Daytona?!

PAY IT FORWARD - I'm going take one away from the flippers!

So, I'm going to do something spontaneous, maybe risky, and possibly CRAZY!

I'm going to visit a few Rolex stores THIS WEEK and I'm going to buy the FIRST piece I'm offered -- no matter what it is! And, if I love it, I'm going to keep it. If I don't 100% love it, I will make it available to a TRFer who wants it. I'll pay it forward to a Rolex lover who really loves the piece.

I'm up for the challenge. Will I be offered anything at all? Will I end up with a Datejust with diamond bezel? Will I get a YG Daytona? Who knows? If it's a nice one, I'll snatch it away from the evil flippers and release into the TRF universe - the home of all pure and Rolex-worthy watch lovers.

Edit: If you have a dream watch, please be super specific.

Well OC you have already almost a full sport model request from members, so little risk on your end in having to keep something no one wants. When are you visiting the AD?

This should be "Club MSRP"

Entrance to the club is selling a desirable Rolex you didn't love at MSRP+tax to the other members. No monetary gain or loss, just passing it straight through.

Once a Club MSRP member, free to buy from other Club members. Find "the one" or switch it up when you get bored.

It'll never work, someone will sacrifice an OP for a SS Daytona at retail, then flip it immediately Human nature.

What if they offer you a 26mm DJ masterpiece that costs $120k that trades for $60k on the secondary market? You will lose a lot of money.

1. Yes, all the "hot" models have been requested. (Surprise, surprise!)

2. I plan to provide an update on my AD experience by late Wednesday. Cross your fingers for good news.

Awesome OC ! Think was the first to ask for a GMT Pepsi or a new explorer 124270 but doubt they would:

1) Be offered to you and
2) You decide to pass them forward because don稚 want them

but can always dream!

If this works, maybe it’ll start a miracle chain reaction for members that get offered things they don’t necessarily want

OP, I commend you for your noble intentions. But realistically all you値l be doing is transferring wealth to a complete stranger who you will never see again and who will laugh all the way to the bank.

They could flip it the next day to their grey dealer.
