And Jen, you didn't even highlight the Jackson 5 work.

There was an article on how his death has actually caused some issues on the internet. http://arstechnica.com/web/news/2009...on-traffic.ars

Frank, given the extent of MJ's influence on popular culture, is the surge of Internet traffic any surprise?

Not at all, but I think when you read the article, what's surprising is that it hasn't happened to this extent before. I think it's truly a testament to his impact on so many people.

Given the continuous increase of net usage, by definition the population has never been hooked up to this extent before. That said, for a variety of reasons MJ was easily one of the most recognisable poeple in the world and the surge clearly reflected his impact.

If anyone has seen the movie 'Rock-n-Rolla' by Guy Ritchie, the concept is the same - a musician is worth much more after his death. Unfortunate, but true.

I've been tempted to ask James to use layman's terms, but the timing never seems to be right! Plus, I'm afraid what it might get me!

I like the challenge.... Keeps me awake (at night), plus if I play any useless trivia games, I'll be well prepared

You guys ought to know by now. I obfuscate, aggravate, obviate, agitate, instigate and discombobulate, but I've never been known to placate, ingratiate, accommodate, mitigate, ameliorate or alleviate.

I believe some ex-members would put that firmly in the "things I don't do" bucket.

His ideas about children were disturbing and without justification. That said, one cannot ignore his talent even in the face of his incredible dysfunction. I feel for his family, and for the family of the children who felt victimized by him. I do not look on his legacy as one of simple musical ability - sometimes infamy outweighs talent.

Hey Frank, remember that scene in Police academy when, they are all on the squad car practice range, then hooks runs over Copeland's foot, Copeland then calls Hooks a fat jigaboo, I feel like Harris at the moment waiting for Hightower (James) to turn the car over on its roof its coming, I can feel it.

What a great and classic movie. And an apt analogy!

Funny on the radio station about a week ago on my way to work the radio DJ was cracking jokes about how he only ate once a day in fear of gaining body fat.
