When I purchased mine the Tudor manager at Harrods told me they don’t always come with sequenced numbers on the reverse if that helps.

The two tone lume is strange I think I’d want it changed as it would annoy me as it does look odd. But it is unique!

Might be worth hanging on to as it will be an “error dial” so worth more in future?

Hello guys,

I received mine yesterday, like others have mentioned it was sitting on its side? Also there were no stickers on it or bezel protector, nor the hang tags on it. Looked to me like and open box piece or returned piece? Not 100% new. I did not see any damage to watch.

Maybe it’s what others are saying that these are being cleared out.
Mine is 11600 don’t know if that matters.

I have not checked my loom to see if it’s different. You guys are experts, I would never think of looking at the loom.

If it's a returned timepiece, wouldn't you have an old dated warranty card sent with the watch?

How long did it take for your watches to get picked up by FedEx? I have had a tracking number for about 36 hours now, but still haven’t left the label created awaiting pickup phase.

Any AD in the states or elsewhere for that matter shouldn’t give you any looks about this piece and bringing it in for sizing as it’s not a piece the any US AD or Tudor boutique will see. They’ll actually find the piece interesting and I’ll bet very few have seen this iteration.

My loom is good and green. I really like my watch so I’m not returning it. I think, it would be too much of a hassle. Maybe not used but definitely an open box watch or display piece.
I understand about the missing hang tags, but not why all the protection was removed from it. This was being shipped overseas? Makes no sense to me and the packing could have been better too. My looked like it was just tossed in the box.

For the ones who still waiting, my also sat at FedEx for a few days, you will get it.

Cheers,

Z

Could this be a result of US Customs?

The watch with all the links is loose on the cushion. The Tudor box needs a larger cushion to keep it tight. Harrods could have placed a piece of thin foam wrap on top of the watch to keep it tight. That’s an oversight on Tudor and a Harrods part for sure. I doubt this Harrods BB has an extra link compared to other Tudor watches so they all must be loose on the cushion in the Tudor box. If you are buying from AD then not likely a big deal but shipping domestic or overseas, the watch should be tight.

When Tudor and Rolex ship their watches they are shipped in a coffin, not the box you receive from the AD. They are much more secure in the coffin. In fact, the display boxes are shipped separately from Rolex/Tudor, and are not tied to any particular watch. What Harrods should do is ship the watch in the coffin instead of the display box (although ship the display box as well). Won't help anyone who has already placed an order, but those still on the fence might want to request they ship the watch in the coffin and not the display box.

Mine didn't have hang tags. Just the correctly dated card with matching serial number and the instruction book.

Mine arrived in excellent condition, with sticker on watch back and bezel protector in place. No hang tags. Very pleased with this purchase. Watch is beautiful.

So I’m not crazy if all the others received their watch with the stickers and bezel protector on. I don’t think customs opened the box it was not damaged or resealed.
My watch was an open box or display piece for sure. I have not checked the serial numbers on the watch against the cards. I don’t think Harrods would do something like that.
They have a very solid reputation.

Thanks, for the input guy's. All great info.

I like the watch not crazy about the band, no easy link adjustment which would have made it perfect. I may try the other included band or get a nice rubber band.
Would like something like an OF type.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

If you change out the band please share some photos. I can't seem to find a photo anywhere of what it looks like in the wild with the black fabric band.

Me neither.

I've also bought an aftermarket Jubilee for it which feels similar in construction and nearly as heavy as the OEM bracelet. I've checked that it will fit but I'm keeping it on the rubber band for now.

Stupid question: should the Serial on the guarantee card match the S/N on the back of the watch? My watch S/N is 12,3XX and on the card it is 39H16XX
I can't figure out what the guarantee card aligns with?
Model number and date is correct on the card.

Well my example with the mismatched lume is on its way back to the UK. Harrods indicated they’ve identified 10-20 that have this issue and should not have been shipped out to clients. So, just have to be patient and wait for shipping and an exchange. Not the end of world and looking forward to wearing the replacement for many years to come.

I would have kept the written notification along with the “error dial” watch. Would be worth more in future due to its scarcity.

Maybe, but I don’t really view Tudors through the lens of scarcity or future value etc. etc.

My intention is to wear and enjoy it and having mismatched lume would make it a less enjoyable experience for me on a day to day basis so the decision was a no-brainer.

The key phrase there is ‘for me’, obviously that doesn’t apply to everyone so completely understand the POV of keeping for scarcity.

Wow, congrats to all , looks like the forum sold a bunch of Tudor’s BB watches for Harrods.
They should send a gift for the business.

Cheers,
