Some cool pieces....the lack of ROO releases is disappointing. I don't understand how we cannot have a ghost yet? It is an iconic color scheme.

Looking through the releases - quite underwhelmed - the JM QP and the sand gold openworked will be ungettable.

Struggling to actually find something I'd like - the red dial tourbillon is beautiful but again probably very difficult to get allocated

They missed big time with time only ROO. That watch needed to be in new 41mm case. And 27k for a rubber bezel is insane..

This one is very nice - the sand gold is quite subtle (vs AP yellow or pink gold) and I prefer the contrast between the various materials to the very monochromatic stainless steel version.

Not sure about needing to be 41mm, I quite like the 43mm size. But I was convinced this was coming with a blue ceramic bezel (i.e., as a time-only version of the blue dial/bezel 43mm ROO chrono). The rubber coated bezel takes this out of the running for me.

You might be able to replace the rubber bezel to ceramic like the previous models

43 plain dial will look too big on most of the wrists... I always mention a full ceramic black that visually shrinks the object looking pretty big on a 6'5 200lbs plus basketball player on that Talking Watches episode... and imagine that on typical wrist... hey, but that's just me, many will love it...

And don't know why they are back with the rubber now they can produce almost every shade of ceramic bezel...

The pricing on the gold code's isn't bad. If my life wasn't 100% casual ski town chic (aka dress like a fishing guide, ski clothes, or mountain biking gear), that black and rose gold Code Chrono is pretty damn nice.

Also, this release for me at least, is more about the material tech and what that will look like over the next 5 years. Sand gold and AP pushing their abilities with ceramic is awesome. Sand gold QP with new movement in 3 years....yes please.

Quick question...is there any info out there on the hardness of the sand gold? Since it has palladium in it...is it harder than rose or white gold?

I totally agree. Can't even buy even with money. This goes to show that they are really about being prestige than growth from the brand direction information

My thoughts exactly. Even a 42mm ROO time only I will be game. But just not the rubber bezel again. At least steal bezel.

This strikes me a bit like people complaining about house prices in places like Aspen or Park Avenue. Everything doesn't have to be for everyone. AP doesn't have some duty to make watches that everyone can afford.

They are different than Tudor and Rolex. And that should be ok. Cheapest AP is what...$28K? What is the cheapest Patek or VC?

Define "normal people"?

There are seven new Codes + the time-only ROO in APs "low price" segment of sub-$50k, which most normal people (in the broader sense) would consider insane for anything but a car or house downpayment. But I agree that for "normal" AP clients, the action from this drop in the $60k+ range is more exciting, starting from the smoked dial 37mm YG RO.
