Noob guy

I was given a 1977 Sub as a gift yesterday, it is my first Rolex. It was an amazing gift that I know I will treasure forever. I have tried my best to nail down the details of exactly what it is, mainly by reading info from the web, but I wanted to post it here in case I am missing anything. Thanks for helping out, love this watch. I think it is a Submariner Maxi Dial Mark 1 Non Serif... the serial is in the 5.4million range.

Totally. We have a completely honest relationship.

Hers was approximately £3k (she preferred the older 16200 model) and mine was 'a touch more....around £5k'ish...if memory serves me correctly'

And if she ever finds out the real truth I'm in big big trouble....like divorce trouble

Congrats!!!! Wonderful gift!
Yes, it's a nice Maxi MK1....5.4 Mio. is perfect for MK1.
Insert is a later replacement (maybe 80's), crystal is replacement, too.
Hands are a bit darker, but that's ok and quite common.

To make it perfect and period correct, search for a T19 superdomed, a MKIII insert and a 93150 with 580 endlinks (A, VA, B or VB would be the matching clasp code).

But it's nice as it is, too. So enjoy your 5513 Maxi....The best of all Maxis IMHO!

For me 1675MKI for today....
